How Beahchead could Balance Ops so everyone has a chance to Win

Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit kinda, unfair? I mean, okay I know the Best clan/person  get the prizes but (not counting boosters when I say this) wouldn't it be more fair to make normal plebs have half a chance of winning?

What I mean is I have three things going against me

1 is time - I live in Australia so ops times can be anywhere from Middle of the Night to Early Morning, and on rare occassions Midday

2 is skill - I'm not a demigod, I can average 19-25 kills a match but i also get 15-22 deaths a match

3 is pingrate - My suburb gets terrible pingrates and I'm on the best service provided (bar getting a satellite dish and that ain't happening)

Last night (Last Clan ops was 11:30PM - 2:30AM Sunday night) so only i was getting kills and my pingrate was horrendous, I had to do camper* kills for the most part as if I tried to move and shoot my ping would shipt itself and all I'd see is a blur, an unskippable kill cam (hitting square wasn't working as ping was so bad) and then I'd respawn adn it'd take a good 2-3 seconds to move, if I stood still to kill i managed to pull them off, course i still got a few run and gun kills but I was well below my average playing, my point is it was a disaster and since i was the only person who didn't have school/work (I'm currently on a sorta forced holiday) only I was on for as long as my patience allowed.

This time issue is not really solvable as even if they move it it'll always be night somewhere, my thought was let's not make it the highest score you can make in three hours but to make it the best of several matches, that is let's say they set a time, it could be 12 hours and then you do like we already do and have a mode and an Objective so let's say most Confirms in KC, but they only count your best 6 match scores in that 12 hour block. so for instance if I only get 30 minutes of play (like I did last night) it wouldn't matter so much, especially if they were great games, I played roughly 6 games so those scores would be counted and I'd have a chance (well not really last night as i ws only person playing but if ti was lone wolf).

It would also mean that the winners would be more diverse, from what i hear 360 pretty much has 1 guy who always wins, if it only counted the best 6 matches it would just take someone to have their 6 matches to his 6 best matches, it would also make going through the matches quicker to look for boosters, as now they have to look through 3 hours of matches, they just need to see 6 matches per player.

Okay maybe my idea would mean some people who were not the greatest players of all time would win, but it would mean it would make the winners more diverse and boost the number of people getting Premium, many of the people I play with in clan are not interested in Premium as while they want to help the clan they don't see any true benefit to themselves in Lone wolf as the winners are always Demigod players and usually people with kick ace connections as well, which is my issue where I live, I can only use Fixed Wireless and as everyone in my suburb uses the same tower it's often overloaded or in the case of last night a junction box malfunctioned and only supplied half it's bandwith.

*Camper kills are when you see a Skull for a teammate pop up and you guage the enemies options and gamble on them coming your way, then you position yourself to be able to kill thme when they run into a room or go past you, it's not straight camping as you still run around tha'ts why I say camper, you reposition and kill in different spots, call it camping but in the end what could I do, quit and go to bed, I wanted to try to get some EXP, as i said though I eventually gave up after about 30 minutes.

        lol Think again.

All times favor West coast US... I dont think a comp ending at 2 am is favoring east coast... unless the people don't work the following day.

Most comps start approx 5-8pm PST, which is 8-11 EST.

As a fellow Australian, I feel your pain. Finding Operations that suit Aussie time zones are very rare (I was very surprised to see the first Clan Op in the middle of the day for us). Giving people that opportunity to complete their best 6 or whatever number of matches is a good idea (would probably have to be at least 10 matches to spread the field out)

The whole time issue is the same as the core/hardcore issue! They are going to schedule the compatitions to the masses..(majority)

Top 6 Games wouldnt work to many people would have the same score the current method i think enables more variety and people could get 6 lucky games that wouldnt be a true measure of there skill.

The only thing we actually need is for Elite to run more operations, as in more than 1 per day.

Top 6 games is like a Death Streak for Clan Operations.  I don't like the idea.

and yes... Beachhead can afford several more FT employees to make sure boosting doesn't ruin Ops.

Let's say 1,000,000 people bought Elite.  That's 50,000,000.00.  I'm assuming they paid Beachhead very little since they obviously have no experience trying to create something like this (joking, im sure they're paid a good bit).  Subtract out any advertising for the product they portrayed (not what we received).  We still have a ridiculous #.

Hire 20 full time employees at $40,000 each.  $800,000 per year + hire expenses and benefits so we'll say closer to 1.2 million.  That's 2.4 % profit decline for a massive boost in happiness to its users.  Thus more people will buy the product since we will advertise for them.  Thus a net profit.

A few months into Beachhead/IW suspending boosters from Clan Ops, boosting will minimize greatly.  They can let go 1/2 their staff.  Less boosters, quicker results in Leaderboards.  Again, happier customers.  Again an increase in Premium users for BO 2.

    yada yada....
