I think they should skip a year OR TWO YEARS, and actually MAKE SURE the game works fully and properly DAY ONE without an update or patch waiting for you as soon as you put the game in.
Then I think they ought to stop milking us all of our money all the time and do the decent thing and let us carry over the DLC we have bought from the game before, instead of selling the maps back to us in a way where they're mixed with new maps so we are more likely to buy them.
This way we dont get stuck playing the same 6 or 7 maps (depending on which game mode you play).
Next time around as well, they should release a public beta for multiplayer, so WE ALL can see for ourselves just what is broken and we can report back and get it sorted, instead of buying what we are led to believe is a finished product, only to find out that we have actually just bought a multiplayer beta with single player and co-op to addd on to try and hide the fact that multiplayer IS really still in beta stage.
What i would also like to see next time, is the oppertunity to see a list of lobbies which either give us a 3 or 4 bar connection, and how long the match has left or if its jut about to start etc,, so WE can choose which one to join.
In terms of game modes, well, allow us to set up our own lobbies, so we can take out the crap akimbos and dodgy perks we might not like,, just allow us to fully customize our lobby and make it so anyone can join and stats are tracked, there is always something which is over powered at first, and we'd like to be able to play without others spamming them.
So set up a big list of the weapons, the air support, and the gear and we can just check the boxes for the stuff we want to allow into our game lobby, just like Killzone allows us to do.
Allow us to have a 6 man lobby for Survival mode (or even 9 man lobbies).
Anyway, im going off on one again, so i'll stop there LOL

emw.80 brings up some great ideas, every two years (good for us) bad for them but yea, it seems that the maps are repeats from maps that we already bought! And though the option to customize a public playlist is a interesting idea. Good response overall.

I know my good man, but I wish to have many people's opinions on this! Although emw.80 did more than his fair share, more people would be nice

I wouldn't buy the dlc if I was you as a stuid person I bought into the whole elite thing an still got screwed over by the Xbox contract that they have, when PS3 users elite none elite still get butt F-ked an waiting for DLC.
This game isn't worth it It's all copy n paste. Not even worth calling is MW2.5 more like mw2.1/4 I would rather see them miss a few years when all cod games an make it great instead of sh!t

You sort of answered your own question! Expectation is that each year a new version will be available, in the mean DLC content is released to address "boredom" so, its a matter of choice and affordability.

Thinking about another "new" call of duty release this November (this year anyway), doesn't spark the same excitement as it did waiting for Mw2,, In between COD4 and Mw2, I got World at War, then after Mw2 I got Black Ops,, and couldn't help but notice some really annoying things, like the games are almost broken for the first few months and just being barely playable, then of course it gets better toward the end before the next title poops out, but it's boring now and I'm not looking forward to it, and to think they expect us to keep buying the DLC up to the end, ehm, no thanks, this has actually made me turn the other way, like when i roll over just after $3x and go to sleep instead of "cuddling" in like she wants me too.
I think they need to change it up, big time.
I know i have mentioned this already, but again,, Look at all the maps we'd have on the IW series from COD4, Mw2 to play on Mw3, so hopefully in the next COD title from IW, they actually impliment this, and there doesn't have to be anything extra on the disc as we would already have the older maps on our hard drives,
so maybe for those who dont have the map packs from the older games they could release two versions, one with an extra disc (or even redeem codes) with the older maps, and the other disc for all the new stuff.
I was just wondering if they tweaked the spawn system we have now to add an option to choose when to spawn, even if the game is still picking the spawn point, that this will be better for us all?
What do you think?

Hacked in a year? Im thinking it will be hacked completely within 3 months! Want a glimpse at the future? Put MW2 in, play a few games of TDM......thats what the MW3 lobbies will be like in no time!
As far as buying the DLC.....If you like the game, go ahead and buy the maps. New maps will hopefully add some excitement to the game, at least enough to keep us busy until the next CoD release.
Side note: Might have to agree with some of the above posts. They probably should skip a year. Dont put out a new CoD game. Instead perfect the one thats out. Also, they should add the ability to import previous DLC maps to the new game. Now that would be cool! Importing maps from previous versions would be great. CoD SHOULD have a large library of maps. Imagine cycling through 30 maps instead of playing the same 6 maps over and over. Less B.S., MORE MAPS!

If you enjoy the game and play alot - get the new maps and keep it fresh - COD is great value - I play hundreds of hours on each game.
I have the hardened edition so the maps are coming to me anyway.

Hardened Edition 99.99 \ 208 Hours played = 48 cents an hour for entertainment

i don't see the point in the dlc anymore. you pay the 60 bucks for the game... then over the course of the next year, you give them 45-50 extra dollars to keep it fresh, then pay another 60 bucks to buy the new title... repeat... so in essence, i'm buying 2 games a year from them to make 1 broken game decent? seems like an endless cycle that needs to be broken somehow.

I have already played more MW 3 than I thought I would but there's no way in hell I will be still playing it a couple of months from now. That alone makes it an easy decision for me regarding DLC. Add in the fact that I have played on and absolutely despise Liberation and Piazza, and it's an even easier decision.

If you love the game then get the DLC.
If you think this game is hacked take a good look at life, it comes across as being pretty hacked at times.
