If Wii want attention...

... t think we did oversee semething:

We are not enough, not important enough to be cared about the way the other systems are. And there's nothing we can do about it for MW3. But maybe others can? We should try to get some major mags to talk about this situation, something like gametrailers or ign.

But before you spam their email accs, don't waste our very last chance. We have to be realistic. So DON'T tell them that we get unfair threatment, because we have missing killstreaks or no DLC. That's not important. There is one central point we all suffer under: That they just don't comunicate with us! We all wana know: Did they stop support the Wii? Will there be a patch or not?

So write this: Write about a game, that was broken in mechanics from release till now amd am publisher, who don't even sees the necessity to talk about it with us, even through phone calls and the support line, while they do on the other systems right in fornt of our noses.

Since many of you are better in english, i will try it for the biggest german mag and see what I will get in response for aksing them to talk about this topic. But again, if you contact them, do it in the proper way.

I'll update this thread, whene i get something...

    Re: If Wii want attention...

This is actually a really good idea.  Something I've thought about myself.  If everyone would ban together and spam some news outlets for games such as IGN, Gamespot, Gamepro, even some news agencies I'm sure it would help.  If enough people did this and it got some national media attention they would be more pressured to do something.  It's not like we're asking for much and please, if any of you do this, don't whine about DLC.  It's the lack of communication and the lack of patches to fix a game that wasn't completed when released that is at issue.  If they didn't patch the other consoles that would be one thing, but patching those and ignoring the Wii is riduclous.

All this game needs is the air support fixed and the patch to balance the weapons.  Just nerf akimbo, striker, and honestly I've seen a lot of complaints about the type 95 being OP that I at least partially agree with.

What would be great is a steady release of patches to combat hacking since that is something Treyarch is more than capable of doing, but I could live without that.

    Excellent idea though.

Wow.... what an original idea... NOT!!

Dont you think those that have been on WII since WAW would have tried this already.  Hell, some have even tried working for Activision to help the WII side.  IT DONT WORK,  play the damn game and quit your bitching.

    As with the previous versions...

There will be little to no support

    No controllable air support

The Game will not have the same as the other consoles

    and of course, NO DLC.

Get over it, just wait for WIIU, and hope there are FPS games on it.

    Sandman out!

      Gotta love trolls.

      @.lamb

I still say it's an excellent idea.  They fixed the glitch when Activision got bombarded with calls.  If everyone made a fuss about it it would definitely make a difference.

We should try and do the"spam the activision support line so they can't ignore us" thing again, it worked last time..

I think I"m gonna look into contacting people tomorrow and see what I can come up with.  See if there are certain email addresses that may get attention and write some nice letters just to see what happens.

I also agree with the spamming of the Activision support line, but in a nice, polite, and professional way.  No whining and crying.  If enough people do both of these maybe it will help.  It's a lot better than just sitting here and complaining.  and .lamb just ignore the trolls.  There are some on every forum.  Honestly I don't see the point in bashing a good idea unless said basher has some type of inferiority complex.  Anyway, lets get to it.

            Re: If Wii want attention...

I'm going to try to get online tomorrow and see if I can make any progress.  I'll email everyone I can but mainly bug Activision. It would be nice if everyone joined it.  If there is a way to get the game patched then this is it.  Bombard news outlets with the info and Activision as well.  It sure beats just sitting around and complaing about it.

Let's focus on the main issues:

Air support needs to be fixed. They can't shoot anything.

Akimbo everything and striker needs a nerf

Also hear a lot that the type 95 needs a nerf.

Focus on those.  They are the most important issues with the game.  If we get that maybe we can start a petition for the local cable company to come and install cable internet where I live!.....just throwing that out there.

We need supporters guys.  Hundreds of you.  If it's going to get fixed, it will only be because of us taking action such as this.  Go for it!

              Re: If Wii want attention...

My tuppence, for what it's worth:

Start a new petition, rewriting or using Rythmmastr's as a basis, so it is concise, is written as a "voice of the community", and doesn't need a tl;dr. Emphasise above all else *the lack of communication* from Treyarch.

              Suggest the main issues are:

              lack of communication regarding patches/anything

weapon rebalancing (same as other platforms)

              killstreak lag shooting

the glitches that still remain (map glitches, damage glitch, etc)

              "demotions" by hackers

              Secondary issues:

unlock the new gamemodes that are already on the disc (Infection, Team Juggernaut, etc)

              hardcore ricochet

              spawning improvements

              matchmaking improvements

Mention that we aren't asking for:

eliminating hacking (no way to prevent it)

              DLC (can't be done)

Give the petition a catchy name, e.g.

              Operation Modernise Wiifare 3

              Operation Screw The Fricking Akimbos

              (think of something better, lol)

Then write a concise press release (the length of a short blog post), summarising the petition and the origins and reasoning behind it (loyal returning customers being ignored, started by the community forums, contrast with the support on the other platforms, etc).

Get other people to look it over (& the petition's text too) once it's done, to suggest improvements, correct errors, etc, before you start to submit it. (If you want it to be the voice of the community, it should be). If you can, get someone who has submitted press releases successfully to give it a look over. More info here: http://www.ereleases.com/howtosubmit.html (also see the linked articles further down that page)

If you can do a video, or someone else can, also link it in the press release.

Do translations of the press release for non-english media (e.g. ask .lamb nicely to do a german translation for the german-speaking media).

Then submit it to as many news sites and gaming blogs as you can, and post it to gaming forums too (as long as it won't count as spam).

As well as the big gaming news sites and blogs (IGN, Kotaku, Destructoid, etc), don't forget the smaller Nintendo-focused sites and blogs (Nintendo Life, Nintendo Lee, Nintendo World Report, etc), and any CoD-focused sites you can think of. Keep a list, so that you don't spam the same people, and so other sites can be suggested.

Having some Wii or CoD Youtube commentators/"personalities" on-board would help too, try contacting some.

                Re: If Wii want attention...

Hacking can't really be prevented, but it can be hampered with a steady stream of patches.  With each patch the game will have to be hacked again.  I don't expect that to happen and we shouldn't ask for it, but it is possible.

    Re: If Wii want attention...

I don't think spamming activision is good, the source of the problem is Nintendo, their not giving the ok for any patch because their too stuck up, Nintendo is the only one that has the power to get patches through
