WHATS SO GOOD ABOUT KDR

I want to ask a question for everyone here. Whats so impressive about kdr, is it just to show off with friends, honestly kdr to me is silly. Haha i have like a 1.2 kd 6th prestige 54 and like a 5 day gametime. So im not a horrible player. Avg game is somewhere like 25-18 .

Do you care about kd?

For some players, K/D to them is like boasting to your mates on how big your dick is.

That's where the term "e-peen" originates from.

I'd be more impressed with SPM (Score Per Minute)... I wish they'd make that a more promenant stat. My goal is to WIN matches. I try to get points. I will often go negative with the KDR but have more points than someone that went 20-1. You don't LOSE points for dieing. It does prevent you fromt getting kill streaks, which will get you more points,so I suppose you could argue that staying alive gets you those killstreak points, but ultimately you get far more points for playing objectives than you do for kills.

At the risk of being the most hated man on this thread, I think it's kind of the community's fault. But no, not all of the community.

Basically, a mentality has been created that if you go negative most rounds, even if it's domination and you're PTO, you're a "Noob" and will be called such.

Seeing videos of people going 50-1 online doesn't help that much, either.

Of course, I'm not saying that you can't or shouldn't post videos of you kicking butt on YT. But a lot of members have the idea that if you don't go uber positive, you suck.

Nobody's fault in general, really. So you can't point the finger.

Probaby can't be fixed, either. Unless in the next CoD the only mode you can play is Dom and you have to watch a "Players ED" tape. Which I'm sure some players would love, but overall CoD would lose it's spot on the Throne. And some would still not PTO.

Of course, a lot of the KDR thing is about bragging rights. Gaming has always been that way. Look at scoreboards on old arcade machines.

I just like to see improvement ... If I started out with a 1.2 KDR and then by level 80 I am at 1.5 ..it shows that I have been getting better ....    Play some more and now at 1.75 .... To me its all about getting better at the game ....

Obviously there will always be that one person that has a higher KDR ... well ....unless you are that "one person" ....
