No, but to me just MW3, and very recently. A lot of us arent crazy, theres something about the disc and the patches too imo.

Ok, it is most likely your ps3 is getting tired. Long story short, I've been down this road 3 times and each time I ended up replacing the unit.
However, a good cleaning might be in order, but I doubt it.
If you think it is the game disc (which is highly unlikely) you could always borrow a friends, or, rent a copy, or, stop in and explain your problem at a vid game store and ask that you might be permitted to take home their demo. Insert and see what happens.
If you do end up with having to buy a new unit, and if you are a heavy user, I might advise you to purchase an extended warranty.
Oh, and for a few bucks you can also purchase a disc warranty for a few bucks. Usually no questions asked when returning for replacement.

Island is correct. Just because you're not seeing this with other games doesn't mean it's not your console. I've gone though multiple 360s and PS3s and it always starts this way. One or two games act funny while others work perfectly. In every single case my console ended up dying.
Some games are harder on your system than others. For instance, Black Ops and Red Dead Redemption made my PS3 sound like a plane taking off.

I wondered what the hell that noise was. I thought the little cooling fan inside was going bad or something.

It's the blu-ray drive being over worked since the game is playing straight off the disc with no help from the HDD.

I doubt its the PS3 My friend had a first gen PS3 go out last fall, bought a brand new slim with extended warranty, MW3 has done that crap from day one. Sony has recieved his ps 2 times and sent him a new unit both times and said their was no probelm with it but sent a new unit instead. Still had problems, Returned disc to wal-mart for exchange of launch day copy for one that who knows when it was produced but has not had the probelm since. No other game gave problems ever. Of course Activision only has a 90 day warranty for disc issues so if it was a launch copy you may be SOL.
