If you're on the defending side it is always wiser to wait and defend the objective.

    Call it what you will but that is how Search and Destroy is meant to be played. What sense does it make to run around the map looking for your opponent when you know that the only way they can win the round is to either eliminate your whole team or destroy the objective. The impetus to rush lies on the offensive side. To do so while defending is foolish and unnecessary.

lol SnD is an intense game mode...but i can NEVER just sit still and ADS...that is not a fun way to play lol

I rush when I get to (usually if I have a good team) but if my team is all going to go die I'm going to stay back and defend so maybe I have a chance of winning the round for us.

If you don't like it then GTFO :b

  so you rush out and die if your team stays back to defend but if your team rushes out and dies you stay back and defend. sounds like rush = die to me.

When me and my buds are on offense against super rushers, we'll just camp our spawn. They love to call us campers. I love to call us winners.

Defense is a term that your average CoD player doesn't understand.

I've seen it in CTF when I defend our flag. People get so uptight over me "camping" when I'm the reason their team couldn't grab our flag.

More recently in Team DEFENDER, I was called a camper for camping the guy with our flag lol "Stop camping you ******* *****"

It's no different in SnD.

If I see the word "defend" over an objective I do exactly that.

Exactly why I don't play Search and Destroy and Hardcore modes. I know defending is part of the game mode, but it's just too boring to me.

It is the fact that you have only one life per round and there is nothing worse than rushing and being the first guy to die and then having to wait until the round is over. Although ive started using extreme conditioning instead of SOH and that sometimes helps me get the 1st kill.
