Patch confirmed so at least let them make it a good one.

Funny how it takes a game-breaking glitch to receive solid confirmation of a patch. Maybe all these glitchers are working for the greater good, bringing the game to attention and forcing a patch
but they're probably just pansies. Anywho, the gears are confirmed to be in motion (cobwebs and all) so let's not rush them too much. If there's going to be a patch, I want it to be well-done and unrushed.
The fact that there's this glitch at all confuses me. How do these irrelevant, unrelated steps add up to it? (rhetorical question) The mysterious inner workings of MW3...
Where's the solid confirmation? Just wondering...
Well judging from the rep-wide awareness of the glitch and the multiple transcripts posted on the forums, I'd say a patch is very likely to happen. They patched lag-shooting, they're gonna patch something like this.
I agree, but it wouldn't be weird if they're just lying. Hopefully they're not though.
David Q. Thanks for that, as for your issue. We are aware of this problem and we are working on it. I am a Wii player as well, so if you hear anybody doing this in the beginning of the game, just don't spawn in, or quit the game until we fix this.
do you know if this is gonna fix the chopers or just the glitch
Just chatted with a Activision support guy, he didn't know when we might get a patch, but he said that the more people complain, the faster we will get it. So I encourage as many as possible to email, live chat, phone, or whatever Activision so we can get this soon.
It's a quality over promptness issue. That approach could work but since CoD's functionality isn't of immediate urgence to me, I'd prefer the patch to be top-notch. Not to downplay the flow of complaints but just not to the point of emergency status patchmaking ![]()
+1 to you Simile What we need isn't a rushed patch what we need is fixing all the exploits and having a patch thats worth it cause its judging from the last patches we've had it might be a while before they patch anything else. If you ask me though they shoulda held off the game until they were finished. I want smooth running games not broken cheap rushed games.
Yes, but they have supposedly been working on a new patch since the last one. All I think this does is bring up urgency for the time it will be released.
NO PATCH, NEVER PATCH
could of said it myself at least. if so, do they say anything about the lag shooting for the killstreaks and so on? im sure that has to be spread around too not just the game breaking glitch itself. im giving some high hopes for it to happen but who knows maybe they will patch several glitches but leave out some. gotta gamble for whats at stake right?
The following statement is 2nd hand from a reliable source I game with, therefor I cannot verify it...
Here is an individual in the industry who responded to me about whether Wii can even get a patch for the glitches:
"Well, the major issue with releasing a patch for the Wii is that, as the Wii is not a computer in itself (unlike the PS3 and 360), there isn't any sort of save data to load when the game turns on, at least not until the profile is selected. The other games could be patched because so much of their content is direct download from their online networks.
That being said, a patch COULD be released for the Wii, but they'd have to code it to be read when the game went to load the user profiles. It would be difficult to do, which is probably why those whiny b itches are ignoring us."
None the wiser? Thought so :)
Sounds reasonable..
Man... You just Owned Them... O_O Understood.
Soooo where's the confirmation of a patch?
