My opinion on mw3

The AA12 and overall opinion

I like the game, but at first I was extemely against the small, clust f*** type maps going into MW3 because I was originally all about the lmg's. So I adjusted my game style, and learned that shotguns, namely the AA12, are not just fun to use, its quite effective in the right hands. I was dissapointed that once again the "extend mags" don't give it a 20 round drum, or even change the appearance of the existing 8 shell box mag. That is not only annoying, it shows laziness on IW's part. The AA12 isn't "useless" after the patch like I said earlier in another thread but it's overall ability to kill consistantly has been hindered. It seems like its at the bottom of the shotgun food chain.

The Perks:

A few other things that get me, are the perks. Blast Shield and Scavenger seem drastically reduced in effectiveness from their BLOPS counter parts and just in general to the other perks like Assassin. Blast Shield Pro is nice in that it combines Flak/Jacket and Tac Mask Pro but Blast Shield/Pro, in my opinion, even as 2 perks in one, its hardly as good of a perk as Flak Jacket and Tac Mask Pro were by themselves. The main reason being that FJP gave even better protection against explosives and the "tossback" ability from WaW. I loved that so much, and now there isn't a single perk in this game that offer's that ability, which to me is really frustrating. As for TMP, it completely negated all affects of gas, flashes and stuns, where as Blash Shield Pro just barely nullifies it. 2 or more stuns/flashes even with Blast Shield Pro you are rendered just as blind/defensless as someone without it. That doesn't make sense to me, considering all the mumbo jumbo Assassin does.

The other thing I wanted to cover was Scavenger. I still have to use it with my AA12, and despite being necessary, it could be much better. It doesn't resupply anything aside from primary and secondary ammo. I understand why Scavenger doesn't resupply grenades anymore, but frags and grenade launchers have been reduced so much that it would be nice to get them off of dead bodies like in previous games. It sucks to throw one at a bomb site or another objective only to get a hitmarker, and thats your only grenade that whole life.

Strike Packages and Stingers:

The principal behind the "support strike package" doesn't bother me, but the Stealth Bomber honestly shouldn't be in there. On the subject of strike packages though, I really enjoy Specialist, its different and fun to use, so I can say great job on that IW. I'm also happy about getting points toward my streak for doing the objectives in an OBJECTIVE game mode like domination or caputre the flag and destroying air support, which up until MW3, no one on my team wanted to help me do. It wasn't a big deal back then, because you could resupply Strela's. I'm lucky that now my team has started putting stingers in some of their classes because with Scavenger being unable to resupply my Stingers, I can't destroy air support like the AC-130 on my own, or more than one reaper per life.

Playercards:

I feel like like me and my buddies are the only people who notice, or even care about this next gripe. I can't believe that IW or any game developer would ditch the "Player cards". Now I'm not just talking about the emblems, because a lot of them were really dumb, but the player card is basically what Elite tried to be, except it was right there on the game. A click of a button,  you could check almost every stat of any player, that is just awesome in my book, and the fact that IW would take a step back by removing it is just stupid.

Equipment and Motion Sensors:

Its not a huge deal, but I think its lame that you can only have 2 "equipment". You can't have grenades, flash bangs, and a motion sensor. I will admit though, that I am very happy to see that motion sensor picks up targets on everyone's mini-map, that makes them all the more useful. Still, it would be nice to have lethal and tactical grenades and something like the trophy system or a claymore.

Thats all I can think of right now, but tell me what you do and don't like about this game, what bothers you, what you miss about previous games. What you think they did right or where they made improvement and where they took a step back.

LOL! Yea it's long but it reads well and has enough information to get the point across. He also did  not constantly bash activision and IW. I liked the game when it first came out. Now there are more problems popping up due to immature players taking advantage of glitches. The only real gripe I have is the lack of HC gametypes. I would love to see HC CTF and FFA.

    1. I will say this about streaks, I HATE how useless AUAV is. Sure the fact that Support streaks don't reset on death gives it somewhat of a boost, but it can be shot down, doesn't display info in real time, and Assassin users can trololol their asses away because they don't show up on it. Blops had it right with the Blackbird.

    2. As much as I hated how it was abused, I miss the custom emblems, along with facepaint and customizable sights. I like the fact that our clan tags have more freedom, but I don't feel like my character in MW3 is an extension of myself. The fact that COD points are gone, and the fact that our unlocks are pre-determined based on lvling up makes me feel even more like my character isn't me.

    3. Yes, I wish I could carry semtex, motion sensor, and smoke nades all at once. But that is gone, along with the useability of these items. The motion sensor and jammer have such small ranges that they're kind of useless.

    4. Random things I miss: Booby trapping care packages with Hacker Pro, Dogs, Theater Mode that was actually GOOD
