I say no to stopping power, I understand if you want to add that perk while decreasing the guns damage without it. This would then give you an edge of people not using this said perk. Instead they decided to up guns damage to a point and leave it out. If they did do this and people ran specialist then they would become op. Better to leave it as-is. This is not the save all for people to move away from assassin. to counter the uav spam.

If people are actually upset about assassin users and the uav spam just move uav to the assault killstreaks at 3. While I say this I also think if using the assualt package they should only grant these with kills not points like shooting down stuff or capturing things.

The support should be the only thing where you gain points towards your streaks, while also moving stealth bomber to assault.

I would have to say no to stopping power.

in mw2 stopping power became the go to perk in it's tier mainly because once one player started using it in order to compete with them you needed to have stopping power. the only real way to balance it is to bring back juggernautt, and then that opens up a whole new problem.

rsjc, sniper rifles are primarily meant to be OHKs. Especially the 50cal. What I still don't get, which is a big middle finger to anyone who says SP was OP.. 50cal + SP + FMJ weren't always OHKs. 50% of the time, it took 2 or 3 shots. A 50cal should be OHK anywhere but the foot. Not hitmarker hitmarker (Both in the chest) and *Escape*.

Juggernaut and Double Tap were the best things to EVER get removed. Without someone being forced to use the counter, they were nearly impossible to overcome. Plus NOTHING was more annoying than Juggernaut + Last Stand.

I loved SP as I love sniping and SP was usually able to give me my OHKs as I deserved when I was LEGITLY sniping. Plus, it limited the annoyance of "QuickScoping" because they either needed SP to get that stupid OHK shotgun style leaving them visable to UAVs.

CoD 4 is still the best online CoD by far as it was extremely balanced compared to the newer releases. All CoD 4 needed to be "perfect" was removing Juggernaut & Double Tap, more attachment options, better private match settings, and a few minor things.

I'd like anyone to try and disagree with that.

He didn't mean as a direct counter just as a perk that competes with Cold Blooded. When there was Cold Blooded and SP, people "usually" choose mainly between the two when now, it's mainly Assassin since most people like spamming UAVs. With how clustered MW3 is with Air Support, SP wouldn't lead a lot of people away from Assassin but if maybe in the next MW, IW chills out on the Air Support; SP would be a better option than it would be now.

All I need is to hide from UAVs and OHKs with my bolt action sniper rifle or 50 cal and resuppling of Claymores and I'll be good. I could snipe all day with little worry of being totally rushed for 30 seconds and if I still do because of my shots showing up on radar, I can plant more claymores while I continue to snipe.

Who else loves the new SNIPER map that's coming with the first DLC! I'll actually have to throw my MW3 back in for that! Too bad I'll be starting college a week later =(

Re: Community says - Stopping Power

I think they should bring back SP, it was in COD4, WAW & MW2 and those games were fine. What people seem to not understand is this, in MW2 FAL was a high power rifle, it took 2/3 shots to kill, adding stopping power to it did not make a "real world" difference so to speak. Im not exactly sure on the numbers but it was something like this: Health was 100, rifle damage was 55, adding SP made it like 65 or something that means you still had to get 2 upper body shots or 3 body shots. This was the general rule.

What it did do though was make weaker weapons a viable option, so weapons which are considered garabge now because they are too weak could be brought into your rotation. Something like the Vector.

As for the level playing field argument, there isnt one simply because different weapons deal different amounts of damage so there will always be a disparity.

Personally, in MW2 i never used SP on high power rifles, I used hardline when rocking the scar or M16, cold blooded for the snipers and most of the time light weight for SMG's. Bringing it back now will give a very good alternative, Increased weapon damage or invisibilty, both very good. Plus with the huge selections of weapons at our disposal you'll never be forced to use any as a counter measure.

Re: Community says - Stopping Power

That was my point, as long as UAV is so easy to get and players are so reluctant to try and shoot them down in fear of being killed themself. They will just run assasin to counter it instead. Which is why SP would not draw that many away from it.

I do not think they need to be a 10, maybe 6 for uav 5 for counter; but then all the uav fans would be upset because of all the counter uav spam hiding the radar so often.

In previous cod's players did not use UAV nearly as much, they used the other support streaks working towards chopper gunner or ac-130. So there was not much reason to use cold blooded to hide from the uav's. But in the recent games like BO and now MW3 people spam UAV's up almost the entire match some times. Which drove more players to use ghost and now assasin.

With that combo if you could not get OHK with the .50 every time you either had bad aim or lag issues. When ever I ran that in that game I always got OHK, Never did it take two for me ever doing that unless serious laggg was the problem, no lag=osk every time. But then again I only ever aimed for the chest area and not the lower body either. Not saying your aim is bad, but something was going on for you to ever need two. I only ever saw a hitmarker with that combo and weapon was when the game was laggggy.
