Indeed this error is a almost un solved as well.A friend of my had the same.There is a lot of option to fix this(audio drivers, soem mic plug in ) and so on (btw they all is an the steam forum as well or just google. it) .In fact nether of this work for my friend.Then the last and the final solution was to use a system restor point as well in the back date when he play the game ith out issue.
In your case if this appear from day 1 i dont have any idea how to fix.In deed the searching in google error will be a good start on it.
