I know at least 1/3 of our community still run this game as well.  While I have not gone back to visit the game in while, I am sure a majority of us who are still left running MW3 would go back.

      Edit:  Great idea OP.

bad message if you ask me....

So as soon as a new game drops in the COD franchise support is dropped for the latter? In my opinion if BLOPS is still in elite it still needs to be supported. There should be a firm 3 year window for each game with firm support. Especially since this is a paid service. You cant just stop support for a year or so old title.

Re: are there no more operations for BLOPS?

they shouldnt worry about ppl switching games. bc it's COD there are millions upon millions and only 1k-5k play an operation at a time.

They should no matter what guarentee a window of support be it 1 yr 2yr etc... it should be stated. I know this is in it's infantile stage and it will come to gripes about certain things but I'm worried about next november and Treyarch releases their new game I do not want elite to stop supporting MW3 and so on. I have a good investment from elite and the game etc.. that 1yr support imo isnt good enough and if it's 1 yr tell me ahead of time so i can decide if the investment is worth it

Some good thoughts here guys. Obviously Activision wants to push support for MW3, but that shouldn't prevent us from running a Black Ops Operation now and then. I will check in with the team that owns the calendar and get back to you guys with details if it's not an easy answer.

EDIT: after discussion, it looks like we have some testing to do to make sure that Black Ops operations are working OK. We also can't prioritize this above important asks like Clan Operations. That said, we'll work towards doing some Black Ops operations in the future.

wait, wait, wait....so you're saying that CLAN ops in MW3 are more important that regular ops...in black ops.

One would hope.  There are not an equal number of people playing MW3 and BLOPS.  MW3 *far* out weighs BLOPS.  Look at the number of poeple online the next time you pop in MW3 then switch to BLOPS and look at that.  I'm guessing a 5:1 ratio, if not more.  Beachhead said they would look at Black Ops operations.  Good.  Great.  MW3, then Black Ops.  That's how it should be for sure.

actually, i did just that last night.  the ratio was not 5:1, it was more like 2:1.  i checked about 10:30pm eastern time and there were a lil over 500k online in the MW3 playlist.  popped in BLOPS and there were a lil 250k.  so not quite 5:1.

Yeah, Dbase I was surprised by how many people are still running Blops as well.  What can you say, it's a good game.  Connection issues are similar to MW3, but everything else seems to still please a lot of people.  I can support NightStalker's numbers, I jumped on the old game last night (about an hour earlier) and there were around 245k.

wait, wait, wait....so you're saying that CLAN ops in MW3 are more important that regular ops...in black ops..which people are still playing.  i don't understand.  what you are saying is that MW3 is more important than everything else.  this is bull!  michaelangelo was right.  you guys have given up support for BLOPS.  dude..now i'm really pissed.  how in the world do you even begin to think that it's fair for the people in BLOPS to not be able to participate in ELITE.  do you think that the only people that have purchased ELITE are MW3 players.  what about the people/kids that just got BLOPS!  oh man, i hope like hell i missed something here.....please tell me i did!  o **** imabout to pop a blood vessel!!

I hope this is exactly what he is saying, When a newer model of a product comes out, you usually put most of your resources into that product. I swear some people get on here just to get a  rise out of others. "Oh man you mean you still dont make VCR's, you only sell DVD/Bluray? what about all of us that still buy movies on laser disc"? that rediculous I mean get real, support an old game for 3 years? that pure nonsense.

Re: are there no more operations for BLOPS?

for the record i dont play blops... but....

There should be something said ahead of time that elite supports x title for x years. it just cant be everytime a new game is released the last one is obliterated.

On that note, elite is soooo young, an not even fully functional. So I see why making it fully functional first before debating teh topic of support.

But on the other hand it was working fine, so I dont see why support was even pulled or diminished in the first place.

Last note to BeachHead I think some job spots should open up to beahc head and activision should fund their expansion so everyone gets the support the need and the devs at beach head arent working themselves to much so they keep it fresh

Re: are there no more operations for BLOPS?

I kind of understand the response though Night Stalker.  I can appreciate that the BH crew needs to get their cards in order for the MW3 paying customers first.  The fact that there is a willingness to revisit Blops in the near future is a good thing.  This BH guy has been pretty good so far, so what we do is just help keep him honest.  Once the MW3 and Clan stuff gets straightened out to a reasonable point, we come back and gently remind him that the Blops crowd would appreciate some love.
