Beachhead, Major Elite Question for you!! Please reply!!

Beachhead Studio's, please answer this.... Will we be given a full year of Elite, that we paid for, when it is finally 100% fully operational? Here is an example, Elite is finally fully functional Feb 8th, 2012. This would mean that we paid for a product that wasn't operational for 3 full months!! Would we have 12 months of Elite from Feb 8th, 2012...Or would it be 12 months from the month free that was given to us...this equates out to be 12 months from Dec 8th, 2011. No one has yet to say what type of compensation that we, YOUR consumers, will be given for something that isn't operational!! Also, your console version of Elite sucks!! I can't invite people on my friends list into my clan without logging on to my PC. They cannot accept it from their console either. Who didn't think of this when you were making it? Everyone I have spoken with online while playing MW3, we all agree that Elite is nothing more than a broken piece of software along with broken promises with no one giving us a stright answer! The only answers that we have been given are vague at best. I would rather have someone tell me the truth, even if it's not what I want to hear. Than to tell me in some round about way that it will be alright and that we are working the issues with no real substance to back it up. Elite was touted by Robert (402) Bowling and your company as the shiznit....right now, it is shiznit...as in nothing works the way it should.
Ondsnap -- I'll try and give you some answers. I am sorry that you are unhappy. I don't know if our responses on threads like this do any good, but we are trying to talk with you and I hope you can respect that.
When will ELITE be 100% Fully Operational?
We are sorry that you feel cheated and upset. I understand that you feel this way because of missing features. I'm going to assume you are not part of the group that was expecting DLC content in December as well. If you are, we will have to have a different conversation because that expectation is not fair.
I am here to represent the development on ELITE. In November, if you were part of the large group of users with login problems, ELITE was definitely not 100% Operational.
Right now we are working on other features which will add to the ELITE platform. I don't have any kind of objective definition as to what completes your expectations for the service. We are committing to an on-going development. We won't be complete in November 2013, 2014, or 2015. This is an on-going service, and we are not stopping or "done" at any point in the future.
It seems like the crux of your post is about promises that you feel were made and broken. We're sorry. As we dealt with complications around launch, certain features needed to be delayed. Some of these the community is aware of and unhappy about, like Clan Operations. Other features will be discussed and debuted later.
Where is my compensation?
Your $50 entitles you to premium features in ELITE, some of which exist today, and some of which will only exist in the future. It also entitles you to "9 months of DLC" which has not even begun yet.
It is not within my power or authority to give you compensation. As I have offered to other users, I would be happy to help you get in touch with Customer Service and even take a hands-on approach on your behalf to ensure that you get direct support. That is the extent of what I can do.
We get that you are unhappy. You are a proxy for thousands of unhappy ELITE members. This is not lost on us. As a studio full of creative people who are trying hard to love their work, it really bums us out. We are sorry that it got to this point.
We are working hard to address issues that have been identified as priorities by the Community, although we will continue to prioritize security, stability, and performance before any feature work. This is not something we can compromise.
Why can't I administrate my Clan in the console application?
As you know, development takes time. What is releasing today was put into the pipeline 8-12 weeks ago. With the console application the timeline can be even longer, as Microsoft or Sony approvals are required and development on the console has other challenges. I'm telling you this for context: A future update will add more functionality into the console application, but the process takes time.
Why the hell would the console application ever not have full Clan functionality?
The Clan feature shipped after launch of the product. It was only first enabled a few weeks ago. The console application will tend to trail development of the site. We're sorry - this is just the way that it is.
"I would rather have someone tell me the truth, even if it's not what I want to hear."
As I've stated in other posts, security and performance issues required a shift in critical development resources at launch. This forced delays into the development schedule. This was further exacerbated by a lack of communication with the community, so you guys didn't even have context to what was going wrong.
We're sorry. We are working hard to do right by the community. We don't expect you guys to ease off until you've seen better communication and continuing delivery of critical features.

@ Beachhead...Thank you for your very in depth reply to my post!! It is greatly appreciated. I was not, let me repeat, NOT one of those misinformed souls who thought there would be any type of DLC in the month of December. From the past installments of COD, I knew there would be none. Personally, I was thinking January at the earliest for any type of DLC. Now, for the meat and potatoes of my reply. I completely understand that Elite will not be 100% in the foreseable future. What I don't understand is why Robert Bowling and your boss, I'll find his name if you need me to, sat in front of a camera touting Elite as a way for your clan to do operations, level up, and do many other things together prior to launching when it doesn't work at all? To be honest, that is the only reason I purchased the Hardened Edition...as I stated earlier, the DLC that comes with it is a nice addition. I, along with the rest of the gang, purchased it for the sole purpose of achieving something together. From the rumor mill, Beachhead hasn't even started testing the Clan Operations yet. If this is true, I, along with everyone else I have spoken with, are truly disapointed at the lies we were told. And when I say lies, I am talking about the interviews prior to MW3's launch saying we could do this. If Clan Operations do not go live until Feb or March, that would be 3-4 months after launch for something that was promised at time of purchase. This is unacceptable in my opinion as well as countless other players. Does your development team have any sort of timeframe on when Clan Operations will happen? Again, I can handle the truth. I just may not like it.... On a lighter note, from my family to yours, Have yourself a very Merry Christmas!!
Yeah well worded there but like you said you me and god knows how many more people bought the hardened edition in the hope of getting things which have not been delivered which quite frankly isn't on. As for the dlc I can't understand how people were expecting this in Dec wen it was clearly stated that the dlc would be delivered over a 9 month period during the dlc season. This part of the deal will be upheld IF the promised dlc comes in Jan and every month after. Another thing about these mobile apps I saw a tweet the other day. saying these were nearly ready I mean cmon these were a feature advertised prelaunch and should've been ready for us on release
Andykod77 -- your statements are fair, with the exception of DLC. It has always been the plan that DLC is released for 9 months starting in January. IW and SHG need time to actually create the DLC.
Regarding your other points, Clan Operations (and for that matter Clans) should have remained "coming soon" until absolutely ready for release. This is one of the reasons why the mobile application has NOT been released. We needed to ensure that the testing process was much more thorough and that the app was ready for primetime.
We will be much clearer in our communication from this point forward -- you deserved to know the impact of some of the launch complications to feature release. We are sorry and will do our best not to make this mistake again.

I didn't know we had a rumor mill.
Operations are a complicated feature with a couple of different components. The game has to report statistics to certain places. We have backend systems that process those statistics. We have a front end that displays results and administrative tools to support the moderation team both in creating Operations and cheating detection. This is not a trivial process.
We have committed to letting you know when the feature enters the final stages of testing. By "final" testing I mean the last stages of testing, when we are approving the feature for release.
"If Clan Operations do not go live until Feb or March... This is unacceptable in my opinion as well as countless other players."
While I can't commit to a specific date at this time, I will tell you that it would be dissapointing to us as well. We will talk to the community directly before any further date slipping occurs. This is a commitment.
Thanks for the chance to discuss this with you openly. We will be happy to continue the discussion, but in the meantime we want to focus on getting features shipped. Next week is vacation for the team, but you'll notice us online, posting, and addressing critical issues as possible. This is part of our new commitment to communication.
Merry christmas and happy holidays everyone.

How come nobody is saying anything about the fact that you can't even use internet explorer to access elite. You can but absolutely nothing works. Why were we not notified about that. Instead they just let it be and i was sitting here thinking that my cpu is takin a crap. Then I cleared my cpu and installed google chrome and TADA everything on Elite works. Now mind you this is 2 months after release and half of my clan used their clan xp elsewhere cuz they didn't wait for me to start up my clan. To be honest though can you blame them, cuz by now people are starting to hit 10th prestige or close to it it and still not in a clan that they have been in since MW2, all because nobody said elite wouldnt work with IE

Elite does work on Internet Explorer, it just has to be Internet Explorer 9. I'm able to do everything on Elite with Internet Explorer that was previously possible with Google Chrome.
