Obviously we don't want to spam them to death but I think a Tweet once a week from each PS3 user that wants to save their Blu-Ray drive is the way to go.

The thing is, there is no reason why it shouldn't be a feature for MW3 - did they not see the massive thread about this on the MW2 forums? Have PS3 users not been asking for it the best part of 2 years, maybe more? If they can't do it, they should tell us why and dispense with the sidestepping and fluff responses.

The information I have found so far points to Sony needing to give stamp of approval to the developer for hard disk drive install of game. For example new game from ID software called Rage will have an 8GB install on the PS3. The dude from ID gave an interview commending Sony for their co operation on this.

Why should Sony give their approval to Activision and their development studio's like Treyarch and IW?

This whole group is Microsoft orientated and believe me agreements are in place that guarantee exclusive rights for early DLC and to make the game better on the XBOX 360.

I just finished reading that article about Rage as well .... I emailed Sony way back asking about a Call of Duty hard drive install and they told me that it was up to Activision not them.  Seems everyone is passing the buck on this issue.

Its in Sonys best interest to have this as an option because it would cut down on drive failures and add to their reputation of having the most reliable console.
