While I can applaud the attempt at bringing something new, ala Face Off, I must admit I'm not very excited. What about adding a new game mode that allows for LESS people to play together made you think that would be appealing to the general public? I thought the goal of multiplayer games was to get as many people together into a game as possible. I remember when games wanted 32 to 64 players in a game. It seems like you're trying your damndest to get us back down to a single player/co-op game instead.
Perhaps I'm being a pessimist here, but I totally see game mode as being nothing more than another bandaid to mask the horrible matchmaking that exists in this game. Less people in a single game = easier matchmaking = less issues/better game play = less complaints from people. Makes ya wonder, no?
Regarding the comment about showing our disgust by not buying the DLC... if only that were possible by all the people that already pre-purchased it with their Elite subscriptions... *sigh*.
One last note... with this new game mode... Let me guess... Hardcore players won't be getting any love this go round again will they? Is this going to be another game mode for softcore only.. like everything else, including Clan Ops/challenges?
