That video could have been recorded 5 months ago or 5 minutes ago, and either way it would still be very representative of how MW3 continues to play for countless customers. ...

 

I'm not going to start an argument with you but this is a complete misrepresentation of the current experience of the game for a majority of the community. The game does not play this bad now except in the case of a player that is lagging horribly, we can reproduce this scenario exactly and it is nowhere near as bad as it was back in November.

I think you are in the minority on this one. This game still runs just as bad if not worse for me and every single other person I know who still has this game (most gave up on it months ago).

I did some of my own personal testing on how lag compensation affects your gunfights & how I could solve my insta-kill/dying around corners/sync issues. (considering the devs have not improved it enough)

I watched two videos from a YouTube commentator on how he felt about being host & what he did to solve his issue.

This video explains what he did to reduce the insta-killing situations by enabling QOS (Quality of Service) & reducing his bandwidth. His video explains how much of a difference the game played out for him.

So my current internet connection is 15MB download, 1.05 upload & 17-20ms of ping which is roughly at the top of New Zealand internet standards. My connection gives me host ALOT and alot of insta-kill situations.

Using QOS settings, I lowered my internet bandwidth which brought my connection down to 2MB download, 0.90 upload & same ping. (which is adequate enough to use XBOX Live)

What happened: I got less b.s instakill deaths, my bullets were killing pretty fast & it was like I was insta-killing other players which felt so good. My last 5 games were above a 4 K/D including one whopping 8 K/D game rushing like nobody could take me down. Also note that I got host alot less than usual with my connection. Whether I was 3 or 4 barring, it felt great.

I have some clips on how amazing the game was running for me. It's still on my fileshare but I'll upload them tomorrow.

Now, my question is should I go back to my normal connection considering the game is running smoothly for me now? Should I go back to getting insta-killed for having a decent connection?

The game is running so much better I just cannot complain anymore.

Someone else from here can test it out for themselves.

Maybe GHANDI will have a few words regarding this matter. It could be a wake up call to the developers to get this sorted out.

Ghandi IW need to step up and admit there is something wrong! you can clearly see lowering your internet speed results in GOD Mode, 4bar is worthless.

I'm uploading a M16 clip tomorrow where it kills in at least 1-2 bursts whereas before, it took 3-4 bursts. Headshots are now a 1 burst kill for me.

My MP7 kills faster at range. Before, it tooks almost half a clip to kill someone.

I think you guys will be amazed at some of the clips I've been getting after lowering my bandwidth.

I've never played past II. Only had the first two for GBA and now for PS3.

But if I were beasting w/ the Model, I would want this played in my head.

What a joke. Please just stop dead silence in the next title. As much as I hated Ninja Pro in BO doing both parts, I suppose its better than having them split up.

Or just have no footstep silencing perk and make campers self destruct.
