    GHANDI,

     

    I have a question.  I thought the last TU was supposed to fix matchmaking so that the matchmaking was based on party leader.  Yesterday I started a party with 6 guys total.  4 of us were here in FL and 2 guys in NJ.  I was leader.  We join a lobby and it was a really laggy lobby.  When I checked the scoreboard the two NJ guys were 4 bars whereas us FL guys were all at 3.  What gives?  How did they get better connections to the host than us?  Something doesn't seem right there.

    (from a friend of mine) No idea what the hell is happening there, but I know it doesn't take 21 bullets to kill a person (7 shots fired).

    As far as I have ever known. Even though you are host of a party. It will match just to that are that most are in. Even though you are host of party, it doesn't mean you are best possible host for the entire lobby. The New Yorker probably had the best connection for the whole lobby to connect to.

    As a suggestion for everyone though complaining about something gets you so far, Having  a valid complaint about an issue but offering a viable workable solution or suggestion gets you further.

    Sure, we will all offer viable solutions, because we all know the net code????? Maybe if they gave us the code, we could offer viable solutions.

    why do you need to see the code to comment on stuff you see and expereince in game?

    This is true, however with the last TU, matchmaking was supposed to put me and my group with people closer to us than closer to the guys in NJ so it would be reasonable to expect that neither of the NJ guys would be suitable candidates for host at all.

     

    That is unless the other team were full of NJ guys and the matchmaking system gave their matchmaking needs priority over ours.  Either way it's messed up.  We should not have been matched with those guys based on the intended purpose of the TU.

    The truly sad part of this COD installment is that, as a result of the horrendous lag issues, many now feel it is acceptable to modify their network connection to play online. This to me will be the legacy of MW3.

    What is wrong? The recoil screwed the shots. At this range, it's 5 bullets to kill, and as it seems in the video, he surely missed a LOT of shots. Also take in account there was a chair in front of the target, so any damage that got into him through there was penalized. Givng the Type only has 20 min damage, a simple reduction to 19 is enough to make it a 6 hit to kill.

    This is how I feel as well.

     

    I shouldn't have to avoiding hosting as a result to avoid being purposely disadvantaged being host.

     

    Why should the player with the strongest connection be completely disadvantaged just because their connection to good enough to host a game?

     

    You cannot force an even playing field cannot exist when you have millions of players with different connections.

     

    Players with weaker connections or connecting to overseas lobbies should not be given a boost or better hit detection compared to the player who is hosting or playing with other players who live locally.

     

    A forced even playing field is great in theory but practically isn't possible.

    This is a pretty good idea.  I have taken the time to get all the guns gold since I hit 10th prestige in January sometime, and I can attest that many of the shotguns are very underpowered until you unlock damage as a proficiency.  Making it easier to unlock those would undoutdedly give you a better idea of how effective they are.  I mean I have used all the guns a fair amounf, and aside from the riot shield (primary weapon???????) my next 4 lowest kill death weapons are all shotguns. 

     

    Even with damage, many of the shotguns are inconsistant.  I can accept that as a part of using them, no different than getting knifed through six hitmarkers from an assault rifle.  Annoying, but something I have come to just laugh at or back out, as it's not worth getting upset over a game.  I mean I have gotten a MOAB with the AA12, but it is terrible.  Even in very close range it is outclassed by ANY akimbo machine pistol, and IWs insistence on including those mystifies me.

     

     

    Seriously shotguns aside, my overall K/d is 10 times that of my K/D with the riot shield, the piece of crap is beyond useless and I will never understand why you made it worse than in MW2.  I mean who the hell complained about it?

    I believe the DMH efficacy is identical to C4 now, and the Dragunov got a recoil and kick adjustment because it is the SR with the lowest speed modifier in the game. I'll confirm this, however.

    Um, G IH A IN ID II,

     

    I think what people were asking for with the Dragunov was a chest multiplier, to fill in that empty sniper rifle spot that has been in all previous COD games (like the Dragunov from Cod4 and Blops, and the WA2000 from MW2), and to differentiate it from the RSASS which is just statistically better than it in every way except movement speed.
