These is a 50/50 argument nobody is going to win. Just play the game stop complaning that somebody got more points than you but you got more kills. by the time you pick and choose what right we won't have a game to play. the only way to make it fair it's to give everyone the same weapons and perks ect

Wow calm down big boy, how is the view from up there on your pedestal?  It has nothing to do with gameplay.  There is no tactic or strategy involved in placing a TI just so you can die and reclaim your tags.

I don't care if someone does this because all it is going to do is net me a ton of kills and make it more fun when I shut them down.  In every game I've played against these people they have lost.  So if it results in your team's loss, explain to me how this is an effective strategy?

The debate is whether or not its boosting, exploiting, etc.  You are entitled to your opinion but trying to manipulate the post to cater your rant is irrelevant.  You probably defended button clan tags too and we know how that story turns out.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the verdict is.

    Re: boosting or just lazy?

I think this is a non-issue.  This is a long and boring way for someone to try and presitge up.  Plus they have to do it for so long if they are trying to hit max prestige, which I assume is the point.  If someone is that bad at the game and feels that prestiging up gives him some sort of satisfaction then so be it.  He doesn't help his team in Kill Confirmed and it doesn't neccessarily take anything away from the other team.  I guess you could just take the gift of being able to kill him as many times as you can before time runs out as a bonus.  At the end of the day I don't care who is prestige X, Y or Z.  Just play and have fun and stop worrying about everybody else.  If you aren't getting paid to play and you aren't having fun, what is the point of playing in the first place?  Hang your hat on doing it the honest way.  Play with friends you enjoy to play with and don't sweat all the random people....-inC

    Re: boosting or just lazy?

I dont get why anyone cares about htis. It destroyes their overall k/d and they get at best 2000 more xp than the actual best players. Also those other players probrally got most of that 2k extra XP from killstreaks anyways so the "boosters" are doing no better then the top players.

You think hey will level that fast from this? People level faster through a combination of challenges and doing well in game for in game XP.

Now the problem could be if they do it whle having double XP. Cause then instead of getting 5k they will be getting 10k. But then again their K/D is being destroyed. By the time they get half way to prestige 10 their K/D will be .50 at best. Most likely less.

They do this for what? To get to prestige 10 faster? Ok so their be a level 80 prestige 10 with a K/D .50 and most likely a W/L of 5%.

Ive seen countless people doing this and I just kill them and then kill them again and then take their tag. Th outcome is the same they just get some extra points iftheir good at it.

I think you need to pay attention. The OP was about somebody indiscriminately letting themselves get killed, in order to respawn and collect their own dog tags. Noone is saying that collecting your own dog tags is boosting. The problem here is that players are NOT killing their opponents. They are NOT contributing to the team goal, which is to collect 65 gold dog tags.

    Jdak10 has already posted:

    From 402 twitter

In Kill Confirmed, if you die on purpose to pick up your dog tag, is that "boosting"?

Yes. Any form of killing yourself on purpose to gain score illegitimately is a form of boosting.

I don't want some guy on my team, rocking the Tac Insert next to the bulldozer in Mission, so the sniper up the top of the map can assist him with some cheap XP, while everyone else is completing the objective - COLLECT THE GOLDEN DOG TAGS!

If you use your Tac Insert in such a way as to prevent the opponent from collecting your dog tags, and you still contribute to the generating and collection of golden tags, then awesome, that's smart, logical gameplay, and I hope I get you on my team next time.

If you have no other goal than to die and collect your own dog tags, then you are boosting. As stated in the above twitter.

The OP clearly stated that the person went 4-18 or 4-19(cannot remember), so in fact he was not just standing there dieing, he was in fact playing the game with a certain stategy in mind. I absolutely suck at this game and have gone 4-18 before, does that mean I'm boosting? It is a stategy to gain more points and if you do it with a team of six it works out great.

    Re: boosting or just lazy?

So the OP sniped this guy, waited for him to respawn, drop his tactical insert (which takes a few seconds), shot him again? rinse and repeat. Yet the sniper didn't bother to go get the tags? Didn't even bother to go stand behind him and kill him when he respawned? OP didn't bother to shoot him BEFORE the guy dropped another TI? Sounds to me like the OP was just in that game to get kills only, not playing as a teammate. Then he got mad because that guy got more points thern him? lol

4 Kills for his team is an excellent contribution for his team. 4 Golden tags he contributed, while 19 deaths = 4750XP for himself. Get real.

The objective is to get Golden tags, not get the most XP.

    Re: boosting or just lazy?

The whole game is actually about getting Golden dog tags. I'm getting sick of having to say this. The team to collect 65 golden dog tags first, wins. Not the team with the most XP.

Not all tac users are that bad.  People keep trying to make it sound like a tactic that always used by, and only by, poor players.

Fact is, when I use it, I go like 17 and 4, if I manage to get a good team, the people that simply run and gun and tag pickup whore, benefit from me XP wise, AND we win in a landslide.

Cheap?  No, good teamwork.  No less legit than good teamwork in any given playlist.

No worse than people who get a few tags and don't pick them up, they place a claymore or use a noob tube on the guy who show's up to grab them.

There are no cheap tactics.  Only made-up morals perpetrated by little kids who are disgusted by people who like different things than they do.
