That's actually the opposite of how it works. The more people you have playing, the more options matchmaking has to try to put you into a decent (local) match.

Hell, I completely quit this game from New Years till about 2 weeks ago because of this -- it got so bad that I could not play in a party because the lag was beyond unbearable, like worse than an mw2 1 bar. When solo, the lag was tolerable, but the random teammates weren't.

I've been playing cod MP since 2006 & I NEVER had a consistent issue w/ lag prior to Black Ops introducing lag comp, split screening, & theatre mode. Now in MW3, I seem to lag more everytime lag is patched. I don't remember how host selection worked when I played cod2 or cod3, but in cod4, waw, & mw2 I would routinely pull host giving the entire lobby 3 or 4 bars. Speedtest has me set at "better than 87% of the US" which means IW/SHG has me set at "F you, enjoy the lag."

It's not right that those with the better connections are penalised.

Maybe the logic is that for each game only 1 person complains "it's not fair" instead of 7 people complaining "it's not fair"

At least change the host each game - then one in hopefully every 8 games you are host, not 8 in a row,

KD aint my strong point but even I know when I am host, I totally die non stop.
