How do I fix strict NAT type?

Hi, I was just wondering how to fix NAT type on a belkin wireless N router, because my NAT varries between open and strict (mostly strict) and I have uPnP enabled, my ping is always in the 50's or 75's on games and I don't get much lagg but it won't let me host with strict NAT so can someone please help me?
