I agree, I can't believe this is not an option. This would make the sound quality way better.. I really hope someone from IW or Sledgehammer sees this and does something about it.

I completely agree.  That is my major gripe.  The lobby music gives me a headache and makes me not want to play this game any longer.  Also the footsteps in this game half of the time are nonexistant.  There is no longer a need for Dead Silence as half of the time the footsteps from non dead silence players are not audible.  Couple that with the fact that even when non dead silence players jump or run, its barely audible.
