how do I change my nat type to open

its on strict, how do i set it to open

    Assuming you are behind a router, here are things you can try:

     

    - Turn ON uPNP

    - Open all ports (or simply do not use NAT or port forwarding... if for your router that means all ports open)*

    - If all else fails, put the PS3 in the DMZ*

     

    * Google these options for ports required, or how to put the PS3 in the DMZ

     

    ... I have used my PS3 with 3 different routers (2 different vendors) and my NAT is always open, and I did nothing to get it that way (i.e. left everything default) regardless of my connection type (wired or wireless)

    Do a quick search of the forum... there are couple of excellent threads addressing how to improve your connection.
