They dont need to even reset level (level and rank are completley usless with the stat reset button) they just need to reset the leader boards

Too bad OP - many, many, many people want it. Don't like it? Tell IW that you want them to confirm the reset; then the threads will stop and a few 'dislike' threads will pop up.

It should stay with no bans and people being kicked off(server shut down). I say dont let them touch the leaderboards but at the same time let them keep the stuff they earned legitly. I dont care much for leaderboard even though ive always been in the low 30 thousand rank(Could be much lower if the hackers was not so bad).Im just saying its unfair to the people who do care.

The main reason they should be reset is because it is fair. As the dude said above me "life is not fair" and I completely agree with that. But (hopefully) cod does not equal life. Bowling said it would be punishing the legit early players. How is it punishing? By letting them keep their stats, its "punishing" the millions of others who want a fair crack at the game/leaderboards. Street date is street date for a reason. That's the date that Activision intended everyone start playing this game.

It's sad though because no matter how much they make you believe they care about their community, in the end the money is what matters. That's just the type of society we live in these days. Caring for the community won't pay for their yachts and cocaine. It's the absurd amounts of money these guys get as soon as midnight strikes on Nov. 8. After that its vacation time.

As one of the lucky ones who have had the game since saturday I hope they do reset the servers as it is the fair thing to do for everyone. I have played online and hit rank 35 already and have good stats.

If activision are that concerned about people playing the game prior to launch they will reset all stats.

Will i have a problem losing my stats?? no, at the end of the day the game isn't out until midnight I've already seen people who have prestiged already and don't see how anybody can argue against a reset.

Agreed with OP.

None of us will even be top 100 in kills, score, or wins by the end of the week.  Your stats don't mean anything.  Let it go people. 

It wouldn't be fair to reset those who have alerady been playing...99.99% of them probably have a legit copy, and why would it be fair to reset their stats?!  Because you think you're going to be on top of the leaderboard for kills?!! Ha, yea right people.  What about people in different time zones?!  ZZOMG!!!!  Should all the stats be reset after Hawaii reaches midnight?!! 

In short:  No stat/leaderboard resets. 

People should realize that it's not going to happen, Period. They always said they do, but never did. I am Prestige Rank 13, so do I have any advantage??? Yeah I know the maps better than you do, that's it, and in 1 week, you know them just as good as I do. I don't understand why people care so much about leaderbords and stats and ranks...

I hope they don't reset them cause i want to t-bag the prestiged players after this noob wrecks them.

Tottsly agree with you Mister original Poster.. Personally for me even online game play is just for fun and to enjoy the game. I dont want to be the highest prestige in 3 weeks lol. I want to take my time to enjoy the game and just have fun.

Yeah, a reset would be nice. I enjoy going into a lobby, seeing people's ranks and if there is a crazy rank, me and my friends will point it out and say "damn, look at this fool!!!" and just trip out on how fast some people rank up. It's not quite the same if someone got the game 5 days early; not as impressive.

I am a bit confused, theblindsniper, what is wrong with a clean slate? I don't think this is a true question of legitimacy, I feel its based on what is fair. There isn't to much wrong with the fact that they have the game early, but not every player has that option. Is a little extra fairness a bad thing? I think not.

P.S. - I feel everyone should have the right to voice their opinion no matter how wrong it is. ( /joking)
