Having every single perk in the game is OP period. Perks have there own tiers for a reason so there is balance to them but with the Specialist package, it throws all balance to perks out the window.
If you got them straight away with nothing earned, and you had the ability to gain air support, then yes, it would be overpowered.
However you give up the ability to gain air support, which in itself is a pretty big disadvantage.
How often does someone get an eight killstreak with just their gun? It's honestly not that often.
It's honestly not going to be hard to kill them. There's only really one or two perks that affect a one on one gunfight, and that's Quickdraw and Steady Aim. Neither of them are such huge advantages that it's going to make it ridiculously hard to kill them as you're saying. They die, they lose those perks. If you're good enough, you'll kill them and they'll lose them. They get nothing to help them. No UAV's, no airstrikes, no choppers. Just them, their gun, and their perks. Think about it, Assault and Support are both going to be way more useful to you and your team.
There really is no issue with balance there. Sure he'll beat you in some one on one battles, but that's the whole point of Specialist. It's like complaining about Assault. I don't see you saying, "All they need to do is get a twelve killstreak (where killstreak kills count towards killstreak kills) and then he's got a giant gunship shooting 105mm cannons at everyone on the map! So unbalanced!"- Report Abuse

If x player is using this setup and has all perks (He also has the pro versions of these perks as well) compared to x enemy who only has his 3 perks which he can only use 1 perk from each tier, x enemy will lose 90% to 100% of the firefights because x enemy is at a huge disadvantage.
None of the perks give that much of an advantage. If you're going to be losing 90-100% of your battles to some guy who has extra perks, I'd think about your own skill rather than the balance involved.- Report Abuse

Currently Being ModeratedRe: A campers wet dream comes to life in MW3?Where in the hell are you guys pulling out these numbers? I believe that, the statement you just said is wrong 85% of the time when it's said at least 75% of the time.

Why would the person who is using the specialist package care about air support when he has his team for that. Lets say that x player has all perks and his teammate who is using either the Assault package or the Support package (He would have to use either the Juggernaut or the Juggernaut recon) manages to get the 18 kills (killstreaks do not reset after being killed except the specialist package also you can gain points to your next killstreak just by capturing the objectives which makes it even easier to obtain these killstreaks) which he then drops , If that teammate was smart, he would give his Juggernaut or Juggernaut recon to his teammate who has all perks which now makes him even more powerful then before. You say that there is no huge advantage to having all perks along with there pro's, then you need to look at all the perks along with there pro's again. I know that everyone is trying to ensure me that this is not OP and that people who use this setup will be easy to kill but I just find it hard to believe when non of us of actually played the game and if you did manage to play the game at the COD xp, there would not be enough time for anyone to encounter this setup. I am just pointing something out that I feel is going to be OP but we will just have to wait and see when MW3 comes out.- Report Abuse

You know Support is the only one that doesn't reset, right?- Report Abuse

No I did not know that but still his teammate can just use the support package so that he can give it to his other teammate with all perks. You cannot change my mind on this subject as I cannot change your mind neither because I really feel that the setup is OP. This is just my opinion on it which everyone is trying to disprove and ensure me that it will not be a problem but yet non of us have played this game and do not really know how this setup is going to play out. I just see it being OP within days of MW3's release.- Report Abuse

Fair enough. I really don't think it will even be used much.- Report Abuse

Brandaman you are awesome but lets just hope that this setup isn't used as much because if this setup does manage to be very OP, then we will have an uproar like no other. I just wanted to point this out ahead of time so everyone knows what to look for when this does happen.- Report Abuse

Just gotta remember that they've said they're putting a lot of focus on balance this time around. I think if something this blatantly obvious with the potential to be overpowered would have been noticed and tested.- Report Abuse
