There is nothing wrong with "panic knifing". Get some skill and adapt.
There is a large gap between something being an issue, and just getting outplayed.
[ and before you jump on me for knifing, in both MW2 and BO, I used a shotgun 90% of the time ]

Like I said earlier, by your logic OMA Danger Close noob tubes weren't a problem either. People were just too nooby to adapt, and were just getting outplayed by unlimited explosives.

There is a way to counter panic knifing. Knifing first, using a shotgun, dropshotting, aiming, etc..
OMA DC noobtubes cannot be countered or avoided and are overpowered.
People like you act like once you start shooting, you cannot knife. You can knife at any point. You have access to the knife just like everybody else does. That is why it is balanced.

And if you're going to stick me to the 'OMA DC' thing again - then fine, they were balanced, if you and the enemies were both using them.

that's only if you have the faster connection.
drop shotting doesn't help at all, the knife lunge automatically tracks the enemy.

Just have to say based what I've played from MW3 MP at XP:
    1) MW3  definately does not look like MW2. visuals, sounds, mechanics, animations, almost everything has been changed up. and that is a VERY good thing.
2)from the running/reload animations to the Spotting perks/killstreaks and gun XP, MW3 is taking several ques from the BF series.
    3) if you were aorried about copy/pasting, no worries here. The gun roster has only a couple favorites per type of gun returning in MW3 with tons of new guys added to the roster. Plus, as i said, the visuals/sounds/animations are WAY different from their MW2 counterparts.
    4) there shouldn't be any more doubts about this game competeing with BF3; MW3 is looking mighty sexy  even stacked up against the ever impressive BF3. clearly this game is going to deliver.

I've got a couple of questions and I'd appreciate it if you could answer them.

    1) How loud were footsteps? Were they similar to the level of MW2?

    2) Did you try dropshoting? Was it fast like MW2 and COD4 or slow like Blops?

    3) Did they nerf the knife at all or is it the same as always?

    1) sound is back. way back. this game's audio is amazing.
2)dropshotting is much slower than it was in MW2. way slower.
    3) knifing is a mixed bag. some problems, but nothing like black ops. something they might need to adress before the game is out for sure.

The only issue I have with the knife is when I am shooting someone and they run through my bullets to stab me. If they fix that I will be happy.

You mean that thing that obstructed your vision and that simply made getting hit by a danger close noobtube like a regular one?

Godzilla77, I've got a quick question about the stackable killstreaks -

I've heard that only kills you get with a killstreak you control will count towards your next streak. So a predator will gain you pointstreaks but an AI controlled attack helicopter won't. As you've played the game, do you know if there's any truth in that?

I also have a question. what level do you think you have to be to prestige, since hollow points is unlocked at level 71
