How about each time you prestige, you unlock a multiplayer "cheat." The cheats would be client-side only, as not to take away seriousness from players who don't have them activated, and would only be cosmetic(audio/visual) so they provide no major advantage or disadvantage. The worst they would do is make enemies easier/harder to distinguish.
-Replace the skull shown over bodies with a smiley face
-Replace the teams with Government Agent models on one side, Alien models on the other side (same collision mask as normal players, as to not make target easier or harder to hit)
-Hawaiian Mode (floral shirts on players, throw pineapples instead of grenades, etc)
-Cops and Robbers (one team would wear ski masks, the other would wear police uniforms)
-LSD Mode (a color-filter that slowly transitions between colors)
-Different accents for the announcers (Duuuude....enemy chopper incoming, man)
-Slow-Mo/ High-Speed Killcam
-Ragtime warfare(without the sped up gameplay, obviously)
-Whatever else people can think of.
Yeah, I was running out of ideas, but at least some are good (smiley face, paintball, Ragtime Warfare)
As is Nazi Zombies didn't make CoD appeal to stoners enough already :P
I've always liked visual cheats, especially big-head mode (bad idea in CoD, for obvious reasons) so I don't see why it would be such a bad idea in multiplayer. CoD4 had them in single player, WaW had them in co-op, so Black Ops should finally bring them to multiplayer. As they are client-side only, and provide no advantage, the only problem I can see is memory concerns.
I would like either new perks for prestige players(New one every two prestiges or so)or the ability to select two perks. I know I've always wanted to be able to use 2 perks that are in the same slot. Maybe you could allow it. It wouldn't completely unbalance the game. It just gives a nice benefit to prestige players. I also like the idea of an extra killstreak reward and uniforms. I'd like uniform colors though. As long as the colors are unique yet don't make you an obvious target of course.
What steps are being taken to prevent glitches/cheating and such, like 10th prestige lobbies? You want to talk about an incentive, how about making sure the leaderboards and ranking system is and remains legitamte?
Prestige unlocks are fine as long as they are soley aesthetic. Gun camos, icons, titles, charater model customizations. Having more custom slots is as far as an actual in-game advantage should go. You got it right with W@W. More customization though, is always welcome.
I'd love to be able to unlock things for zombies through leveling/prestiging. I'd feel like i was accomplishing more while i play, and it'd obviously keep the zombies mode itself fresh. Also, if the deathcards dont make a physical appearance in campain, tehy could also just be prestige unlocks.
Each prestige you should get a new skin for your multiplayer character. This could act the same as camo for your guns. You can have tiger stripe camo or woodland camo. These wouldn't overpower your character but it could show that you are an experienced player.
I think you should get to choose one of your already created classes to keep that way ur not at a total loss of all the weapons also make special weapons for every couple of prestiges
i think a cool feature of prestige would be that when you prestige you could choose what map you want to play on instead of getting thrown in the middle of a match when your losing 5,000 to 50
ok dood what you said will make gameplay unbalaced trust me im a map designer, weapon designer, making it balance in games such as css and crap.
1. that would make people find a way to get 10th prestige lobbys in this game because they get special weapon attatchment and new grenades wich will make the game unbalaced.
2. you should earn custom classes for every odd number prestige so up to 5 extra.
3. instead what if you unlock special camos like design your own camo using stencils put in the game. that would not hurt gameplay.
