    Re: Perks, min. number requirement?
I like better the quantity of perks in WaW then MW2 because some in MW2 had a double perk quality which gave the player the ability to be an all around good solder at everything but those are just some rare cases. I wouldn't mind there being a double perk system but I would like it to be around 18 perks 6 for each ter rather then 16.

The perks like OMA, Scavenger, and Commando were terrible.. Commando is meant more to be a weapon attachment then a perk, And no one should have the ability to get unlimited ammo, extra ammo and grenades yes but never more ammo.

Some perks Like sitrep and Scrambler were simply pointless. Scrambler shows your position while the pro is of little help when not many use claymores, Sitrep was more of a ter 1 perk like bomb squad, its difficult to get the pro cause the lack of equipment, dual claymores and C4's should be available to a layer or give a pro version of bandoleer to give you one extra equipment/grenade.

Death streaks weren't as worthless except they needed to be more redone, Painkiller was rather stupid, it would have been more fair to put 5 seconds instead of 10, martydom was ok but the timer on the grenade that you drop was too short, that and the blast was too small. Last stand really disappointed me, one thing that I liked about WaW is that you can help revive your down team mates if you have the similar perk. This was simply absurd since you have your primary out and you can still shoot it while down. Copycat? Well I don't see much benefit in that. All of them have to be 4 deaths, these things were either annoying cause they never actually helped you or they just messed up your kill.

    Re: Perks, min. number requirement?
    keep waw perks except for:
    last stand, juggernaut, and martydom.
NO DEATH STREAKS!!! OMFG CANT STRESS THIS OUT ENOUGH NO DEATH STREAKS, IN ANY GAME MODE PERIOD.
NO PRO PERKS! i hate one man army, danger close and comando
if you are going to have killstreaks set at 3, 5 and 7 (im hoping you will at least have them in a seperate playlist) then make sure theres no hardline!
bouncing bettys were good but they need to have a longer time to explode after they are triggered. im thinking half a second.
all i can think off right now please post something similar for killstreaks, guns etc

Noob tubes take up perk slot 1! Even better, take them out of the game. They don't add to the gameplay. Keep cold blooded. Get rid of the stupid perks from MW2. You know which ones: commando, OMA etc.

Keep the 'pro' side of commando. I really like the no fall damage. keep flak jacket but blast shield from mw2 is rubbish.

Is it me or do a majority of these replies want to drastically reduce features in this game?  No this, no that...  There needs to be options for all players of all skill levels or else you have built yourself a very one dimensional game.

I agree. It seems that way. I think one of the best things about MW2 is the amount of diversity in all the attachment options, equipment, perks, and pro perks. If you take MW2 perks and pro-perks you're basically looking at 32 different perks. Throw in Equipment (7) and all the attachments, that makes for a ton of diversity. As great as COD4 and WaW were, when I go back and play them, it does feel very one dimensional. I absolutely loved both of those games and put hundreds of hours into each. However, MW2 has raised the bar for me (and millions of others) and it's hard for me to go back and play the previous games because MW2 has so much to offer.

    Re: Perks, min. number requirement?
I loved the waw setup. Mw2 seemed 2 have 2 much game breaking stuff in it. I belileve that waw was just right and not over the top (new stuff however should be added in bo but need 2 be carefully considered.)

In my opnion stoping power and juganaugt should stay to counter each other but commando from mw2 and one man army shouldent be added along with other anoying ones (only balanced perks)  Idealy I don't think call of duty BO should adopt any of the unbalanced stuff from mw2. Only balanced perks should be added and not small pointless ones just 4 the sake of it.

    bayonet was fine.
P.s no shotguns as secondary weapons, I hated this in mw2...
Btw I have every faith in u guys u will make an amazing game, u guys r bril and thanks 4 being so gd 2 the community.

    Re: Perks, min. number requirement?
Damn, late to the discussion, haha.

For a start, ONLY get rid of perks that give players a ridiculous advantage, the main two being Commando and One Man Army. These are the only two perks from MW2 that were way too exploitable. Commando's range and auto-aim teleportation bull**** was stupid. And One Man Army gave individuals WAY too much firepower - claymores and GL grenades could be refilled in a matter of seconds.

I'm not sure whether I think equipment should take up a perk slot or not, like in WaW. I liked the way both MW2 and WaW did it. Perhaps it best to just make all equipment take up a perk slot? So you can pick SECONDARY grenades separately, but your primary slot for equipment is decided in Perk Slot 1 - everything from grenades to mines, or whatever. Attachments will be separate.

Perks like Stopping Power and Juggernaut are somewhat awkward I feel. I don't know what I would do with them. I think they should both probably be taken out completely, just to prevent any further imbalances.

Perks that protect you from things, like Flak Jacket or Shades and whatnot are fine, if not even a little underpowered for a whole perk (look into this).

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT - Perks that give you a different kind of benefit like Dead Silence, Sleight of Hand, Scavenger, Cold-Blooded, Danger Close, SitRep, Bling, Steady Aim, Hardline and Scrambler are the BEST KINDS OF PERKS. I think this because they give you just a nice little advantage over the other players. Nothing that can be exploited - they're just a solid, physical advantage that is CONSTANT.

That's not to say you should just re-use all the good perks that we've had over previous CoDs. I'd love to see some new, creative ones.

Also, I don't care about the exact number of perks that are in - just give us a decent amount. I would guess (and judging by this poll) that most people on this board are the kinda players who think perks and killstreaks and all that ruined CoD. I disagree. The variety and depth of customisation is what attracts far more people - having options is good. Just give us a good amount of perks so that there are a decent amount of cominations, else we'll just get a load of the same classes running about.

Oh here we go.... This thread disappointed me. Create your own perks, be original.. Don't just take old perks and put them in the game.. of course take them, but make new ones as well... Don't go half-ass on us now Treyarch.

Speak for yourself regarding Sitrep/Sitrep Pro. I think this is one of the best perks in the game. Especially, the Pro version. All those annoying Commando guys sound like a heard of elephants.

    Re: Perks, min. number requirement?
wow you guys are awesome you actually like to hear our opinions.

I would say the flamethrower should be a secondary or a primary weapon maybe.. primary grenades x2 should be gone i mean like its too much even tho its 2 grenades. definitely juggernaut, second chance/last stand. reconnaissance didnt seem to work maybe i just didnt understand what it did but i dont really know, marathon should be out i suppose, extreme conditioning was more balanced, one man army ONLY if it DOES NOT replenishes your explosives!lightweight and commando please or just commando lightweight alone isn't really too bad but there should be a disadvantage like no rockets or grenades or something to do with your ammo since your lighter ya know?

thats why i personally think should be gone.

the rest was ok, the reason why people dislike commando for one is its like 3 times a bayonets range, it 'teleports' you unlike the bayonet, plus with an attachment that makes you melee faster and perks that make you lightweight and run forever its way to over powered, call of duty is a first person shooter not a first person knifer, you shouldnt be able to souly rely on your blade to get you a "Tactical Nuke Incoming" you know what I mean? the concept of what IW was going for was good but when people ended up doing with it made the game annoying. in cod4 and waw you couldnt rely on your knife at all, was playing waw earlier and actually missed a guy with the knife lol, but thats a very good thing in the end.

sorry for the wall of text.

Too bad that a few overpowered perks are used FAR more often than others.  Diversity means nothing when one option clearly outshines all the others.
