I'm starting a new thread because I haven't seen this type of freezing reported on here.

At times my character will freeze but the game continues on progress. Sound works fine. NPCs continue to move, but Mercer will not budge not matter what I do. He also does not accumulate damage even though he's being shot point blank. Sometimes this happens in completely random areas, frequently after consuming someone. Other times it happens at the same spot. My wife has been unable to complete the tutorial section of the game because (Escape the Gentek facility) where they introduce targeting on the helicopter. cut scene has her pick up the car, then popup shows how to target, then  Mercer standing there holding a car unable to move while soldiers close in around. Tried restoring saved game, starting new game, rebooting xbox. Nothing works.
