Killsteaks Count Towards Other Killstreaks?

I don't know about anybody else but I enjoyed the fact that you actually had to earn your killstreaks in blops. do you think killstreak kills should be added to your pointstreak in mw3? making the game somewhat annoying like mw2 was with their killstreak system.
I was originally glad it was changed in black ops, but I'm actually looking forward to it returning back to killstreaks stacking.
It can get annoying yes, but I'm ready for a fast paced game again with lots of action.
I think it would be great going. I think it was a major flaw in BLOPS that a player would not gain towards the next streak from say a well placed Napalm Strike. Also only having one heli at a time up in the air at the time is so booring compared to the frenzy and fury of having an enemy Harrier+Pavelow and even an enemy AC-130 going for your guts.
Shooting down airsupport, or hide in buildings, quickly moving to the next with exact timing became a vital part of a teams strategy in MW2. In BLOPS most choppergunners etc fly until the end of its run, that almost never happened in MW2, even with the choises of Shotguns and machinepistols as secondaries.
How you handle yourself in the game, well placed and stragized streaks should count compared to hasty and poor placed streaks.
pointstreaks are going to add onto eachother like in mw2 I believe, but its going to be much easier to shoot down killstreaks through a variety of pointstreaks, launchers, etc.
Both killstreak systems have flaws tbh
Stackable - Easier to get higher killstreaks
Non stackable - Leads to more camping
I don't know how much truth there is in this, but I heard that only killstreaks you control count towards your next award. So getting a kill with a predator/air strike will get you closer to your next pointstreak, but calling in an AI controlled chopper might not. I guess we will have to wait and see...

I would be completely ok with that system. That way when I'm in control, it helps build up to something else, but the rest of the time I can just call in my unmanned airstrike while running around getting kills on my own.
i hope it stays as it is in blkops. as mw3 has superior air support stackable killstreaks will just dominate the air and ground making games all about the kill streak and not you and your gun on the ground.
I'm glad they chain together. If you dont like KS, you can always play Barebones.
i hated the way you had to earn your killstreaks in black ops specialy for a person like me who plays for the objective instead of sitting back racking up the kills and killstreaks i ran spyplanes c/spyplane and napalm most of the time with hardline pro

They're back to pre-Black Ops to my understanding.
Mixed thoughts on that.

Killstreak kills only count towards your killstreak count if you use the Assault Strike Package.
Link?

@fourzerotwo@kryptikspaniard do poinstreaks "stack"...will a double kill with a predator lead to the next killstreak?
@ChaseAceRaceM You mean chain, yes Assault Strike Package pointstreaks chain, but Support and Specialists do not.
very interesting. Did not know that. I'm sure I'll be running the Assault packages anyway since I'm a run 'n' gunner, but it's interesting that the other two don't "chain"

Makes sense for the Specialist since you don't unlock anything but perks...
Good to know about Support since that could really be a bit much with it not resetting on your death.
Well considering Support packages only have a few "offensive" killstreaks. ex Stealth Bomber, Decoy Carepackage, it makes sense that they would only stack with assault package.
why do idiots like you ask for links, its obviously proven or you wouldnt be the only oddball asking for a link
anyone else think it may be a bit op if in support your pointsreaks dont reset? and 18 points (i think its that for the juggernaut) is not that hard to get. we may be facing possibly multiple juggernauts each match
I think that they will be adding killsteaks to killsteaks, because it was hard enough to get 11 kills on Block Ops, unless your just going to camp, and although doing objectives gets you closers towards killsteaks, you are also risking you life, so I don't see that being a major problem.
Having them add to other killsteaks is nice, but at the same time is just adds to the camping factor since people want to just hide while their air support does that work. A cool new feature that they are adding though, is you will now be able to scroll through killstreaks, that way when your team has lots of helocopters up in the air, and you can't call in your killsteaks, you can just scroll through them and call them in.
I like stacking towards the next streak. If makes the game more competitive, and more fun. Stacking is part of the strategy for me.
When I first started playing MW3, I didn't like the idea of stacking. However, as I played it more, it fits very well with the loadouts. Considering just the action of calling in a killstreak can get you killed and ruin your streak, that risk alone warrants it adding to your streak.
A good portion of these killstreaks even give the enemy team a few seconds to prepare or destroy the streak before it even lands or kills anyone. This is how preds get trophied, choppers get blown up before they even make it to the war zone, etc. So how much that killstreak actually adds up for your enemy is all based on you.
