Taking the day off school is pretty pathetic seeing as you're only in till around 3:00pm. But if you're working till the evening then sure, take the day off. I doubt anyone could wait until 8pm to play MW3... Fortunately, I finish college at 10:05am on the release day

I have only one class on the 8th and I do not plan on going. I'm dropping my wife off at school at 9:30am, going home and playing until I have to get her; just hope my little cooperates haha. My little girl likes watching me play anyway. Oh and definitely taking off work.

I'll be working.  Works been slow the past couple month, need all the hours I can get.  Plus i live in the middle of nowhere and fed-ex doesn't run till like 4:00 anyway.  I'd just spend all day wait on the delivery guy to get 2 extra hours of play.

I'll be taking a sick day or two, AKA faking the funk.

I took off work too haha. You're def not the only one. And its awesome because Monday night the 7th, I get outta workat 945, go to get something to eat, go hop in line at gametop, and then Tuesday I took off work and I have no college classes Tueday. Cant wait haha.

yeah, i requested tuesday off, and i always have wednesday off, so i plan on getting some sufficient game time in. I couldnt help but think about the fact that this time next week, i will be at gamestop, about to have the game in my hands. Ill be getting my wife sims 3 pets so she has something to keep her occupied while im playing. Hopefully i can get a friend or two to come over.

I'm working the day of the release, but got the next day off, so not sweating it too much. I'll still get to play at night the day it comes out.

Haha I'm glad Im not the only one either. I thought I was. All my friends are like wtf dude that's a little much.. but I only work thurs-sundays.. so i'll def be at the midnight release.. I ALSO took the entire weekend after off work as well. Cuz the first week I know i'll be too addicted. 9 straight days of MW3.. My gf says she's not coming over the entire time. Haha. She'll only give me a booty call when in need. She knows im a hardcore gamer. Hence the name.

I have taken the week off. Sure its under the guise that I need a day to go to the dentist, another day to take the dog to get its needles and another day to go to physiotherapy but I think everyone here knows I'm really taking it off to play CoD.

Problem is my missus works til midnight so she is going to be complaining that I am not home if I go to the midnight release (she hates coming home to an empty house).

One of my gaming partners is a releif teacher so has turned down all work for the Wednesday and two other mates aranged a single day off on the wednesday also. Gonna be epic.

If you think taking a day off is bad, then I am pure evil. I took off the whole week. Saved a week of my vacation time just for this. It is nice having a week off right now. Off for the week, go back for a couple weeks then off for Turkey day vacation, back for a couple weeks and off for xmas vacation. Working for a school district is great!

I'm pretty lucky I have all week off too. I work 80 hours in 7 days, then get 7 days off. Repeating. My week on is going to be a struggle at work!

I'm lucky that I don't work on Monday the 7th. I work second shift. But I do work on Tuesday the 8th. I took a half day, so I'll only be working until about 7pm. I'm a college student, so its just a spending money job, not a career or anything. I may end up skipping a class on the morning of the 8th, however, because I can see myself being awake into the wee hours of the morning.
