My honest opinion is, if they want to hack max level then whatever, I don't care. But if it in anyway affects the way a public match is played, for example, infections then they should be banned. I dont care if someone hacks to max level, it's there choice. It doesn't ruin the satisfaction of reaching max level legitimately. Although it is annoying when you do reach max level and some stupid little kid starts screaming "Hacker!!!" at you...

Its time consuming to catch them and I would rather have them maintain the game than look for hackers

My main concern is game upkeep. Playing a game that just got placed on a shelf to collect dust is worse than playing a game that people cheat in. They almost go hand in hand.

If a game is tended to, there are less cheaters present. Like a few of you said, BLOPS wasn't as bad with cheaters. That's because they kept tabs on the game.

Would I like to see perma bans for cheating.... of course. Cheaters suck. But really, there is not much to do besides making sure your game is taken care of.

One major problem with "IP" banning. There are many college students out there who use the dorms interent to get on live. I know of quite a few. Well they are all using one external address. If you IP ban one idiot, you may be banning many innocents as well.

Also, what is someone changes thier ISP? Say go from Verizon to Comcast. There goes the ban.

As far as not having a static IP. How would you feel if you woke up one day and could not get on MW3 due to a ban that the guy who had the IP before you got? That would suck.
