Question about hardline pro and assists

So, I was wondering. You know how hardline pro gives you 1 kill streak point for every 2 assists right? Do the assists have to be consecutive, or do they still count after I die? For eg: I get 1 assist, die, then get another assist to make 2 assists, does that still count? Also, does hardline pro keep both effects like the one where it requires 1 less kill for a killstreak and the 2 assists effect, or just the 2 assists effect only? Thnx!

 

Also, can somone give me some tips for getting better kills for the skorpion? I'm trying to get it to lv 5 to unlock akimbo. Thnx!

    Based on when I used Hardline Pro and Specialist Killstreak, the Assist counts even after dying because I earned the first Perk as a Killstreak reward after respawning.

    It does both.

    Be patient with it. It's best used when the enemy is close.
