People, I hav come across SO MANY people who hav dropshotted me and I was wondering the easiest way to reach over for that B button and aim at the same time, or if there are any alternatives? Please leave comments below, they are all much appreciated
On button layout (settings) you can change the controller layout to "tactical" this will allow you to enter prone by using the usual melee button, the melee button is then turned to 'B" button. Hope this helps, but to conclude you can aim while going prone, however to melee the reaction time will slow dramatically.

I was Drop Shotting a lot when I first started COD multiplayer. To be honest, it was out of panic and not because I planned to do so. After a while, I stopped Drop Shotting.
After some time I started hearing players calling out other players for using Modded Controllers; this is plausible.
One time while playing TDM years ago, an opposing team won and we got to see the final cam. It was a teammate that got Drop Shotted from the back for the winning kill. At first glance it looked legit. But, I thought about it again. Why would anyone Drop Shot someone from the back? The theory of Drop Shotting by using Modded Controllers made sense. The Drop Shot was pre-programmed. A teammate called out the player from the other team and the other player left the game just as soon as the killcam was done.
I'm not saying all players that Drop Shot are cheaters or n00bs. It's actually a smart way to avoid getting killed when shooting an enemy in front. But, Drop Shotting from the back does make cheating by use of a Modded Controller plausible.
Watch how you get Drop Shotted.
I changed my button configuration to tactical about this time last year and my k/d has absolutely skyrocketed since because I now dropshot the hell out of people lol. I honestly think I may have become a bit too reliant on it, but dropshotting wins me gunfights that I have no right to win ALL the time, which really helps getting those final kills needed to obtain killstreak rewards etc.
In regards to people dropshotting from the back, this does not conclusively mean that they are using a modded controller, although I see where you are coming from with the specific incident that you describe. Like I said I think I have become overly reliant on it to the point where it's just instinct to drop shot if I am surprised by an enemy. This still applies if I am surprised by an enemy who happens to have their back turned to me, I have on occasion still drop shotted (or at least crouch-shotted) them from the back, because you don't always have time to check which way they are looking, you just react and shoot! Anyway, interesting thread guys, nice job
Most people who buy the Drop Shot modded controllers don't even use the feature because it ends up hurting you more then it helps. The way these controllers work is that when you shoot you automatically drop to the ground. Well, that sounds good, unless you are trying to head glitch a box or something and you drop behind it and can't shoot the enemy.
Also, Scuf Controllers, a new gaming controller company provides a type of modded controller. It doesn't offer rapid fire but it offers alternative button configurations.
It places two 'paddle' like buttons on the back of your controller that are programmed to be the Jump and Melee buttons.
This in combination with setting your button layout to tactical will make you a drop shotting, halo jumping, melee using monster.
