I want you to supply me with your answer....

Posted by CODRocks131 on Feb 14, 2013 11:54 AM

I know im not alone, but I am sick and tired of way things are on Black Ops 2. I am constantly spawn killed, killed by enemies who are not even on the screen but kill cam shows them standing in front of me when shooting me, always being behind by a full second, and so on and so on. What I want to know is, have any of you resorted to going back to the older Call of Duty titles just to be able to have fun again? The other day I went and played some World At War, and some Modern Warfare 2. I could not believe the different in how great it felt. The game was smooth, people actually died when they were shot. It was fun playing with all the old weapons on all the old maps. Wasteland was still fun, Quarry, Sub-Base, and all the other maps just brought back the fun. I did not seem to run into a single hacker on MW2. It was a lot of fun to play again and will be playing it again shortly. The play difference between the older games and Black Ops 2 was significant. On the older games I didnt have that feeling of always being behind a full second to the enemy. The game just felt like a fair fight again. If your tired of the Black ops 2 problems, go back to Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, or World At War, (Haven't tried MW1 yet) and you will start to have fun again. Those games still have a few bugs, but compared to Black Ops 2, they are almost non existant. if you want to play some old school World At War or MW2 or MW3 with me hit me up on Xbox. Yes. MW2 runs smooth all the time for me.  MW1 hit detection has been perfect for me this week, and the game was made in 2007.

yeah MW2 seems to be the best connection and hit marker wise for me.  BO2 is weird its either laggy and choppy, or I cant be killed. I like neither.  I want a balanced game.

MW1 and 2 did this well.

Constant nube tubes is what makes mw2 hard to play, but if you play ffa you are good to go.

I play older titles all the time. Got 3 Moabs in MW3 lastnight alone

I stay away from Blops 1 because i still have the same lag and connection problems as Blops 2.

COD4,MW2 and MW3 all play perfect and COD 4 is still the most fun and best playing COD even to this day.

World at war is almost on par with COD4 in terms of playability. But the one issue are the hackers in that game. They show up about every 3rd game or so. Also with the numbers playing that at the moment. It makes it hard to find good lobbies without them as well.

Yeah I agree cod 4 plays very very well. I can not understand why 3arc and the new IW cant look back at 2007 and 2009 to figure out the connection settings.

I think it has more to do with what is in the game today compared to then. There has been so much more added to the MP in terms or unlocks, weapons, attachments, streaks, theater mode and more. That it really hurts the MP performance in terms of connection and lag. This is why i would love to see activision take a step back and give us less for a better performing MP.

I personaly think respawn (old IW) took a good chunk of the code with them. Making use of that same system impossible. As much as a i wish it was possible. Eh fingers crossed respawns new game is coming soon :-)

Yeah they may have, but 3arc, activision, IW- these guys cant get a copy of mw2 and disect(sp?) it? LOL!

West and Zampella are masters of online code obviously.  Too bad so sad activision did what they did to them, CoD could be super awesome right now.

Hopefully they'll put something out now that the PS4 has been announced.

Do it. You could probablly get COD 4 For $10.00 Well worth it. it is great when you are playing and bullets are counting. What i always find frustrating in COD4...Never enough time to call in the 3rd or 4th or 5th chopper during a game

i'd go back to Mw3 but i don't wanna have to deal with all of the QSers on that game, thats the one thing im glad treyarch didn't revolve the game around.

there are a lot of QS on BO2, but yo are right not as many, but still using the ballista etc...

I run into just as many QS'ers on BO2 (if not more) as MW3.

I thought about picking up COD4 for a change of scenary, but as others mentioned I was afraid it would just be a hack-fest.

Echo what others have said, I do enjoy MW2 from time to time. Great game, save all the BS. Just has an 'it' factor no other COD seems to have.

Might try me some CoD4 again - it's been a few years since I last played it.

I've played them recently. It's nice to revisit.

Well tried CoD4 - red dot connection and the only lobbies were full of glitchers shooting people from buildings that players shouldn't be able to get into or on top of.

Waw - the host was a 10th prestige level 65 who had played less that 6 hours of gameplay.

These games are dead and well and truly buried.

        RIP dear old friends, RIP.
