Cheaters and Treyarch's unwillingness to do anything about it. Stop worrying about your sales figures and provide a quality game.

I was reading online about the banning and suspensions for cheaters on BO2. If this is the case, why do most of the top 500 in the world standings have the prestige glitch and why does the #1 player in the world have 4 minutes of game time? Threatening these players is not working, actually back up your threats for a change. Your company has made billions of dollars off this franchise and you can't even pay some guys to police this. Have you read the forums? (probably not). There are thousands of gamers, like me, with legit complaints (not the whining kids) that are not going to buy COD games anymore due to your disregard. You have taken a great game and ruined it for money, I know that's the point of designing a game but you will sell even more and have much more loyal fans if you have some pride in what you produce. IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY!

    They gave us a report in-game function, and people are getting banned every dy.

     

    Prove to us that the leaderboards are full of Prestige Glitchers beyond a shadow of a doubt.

     

    Play the game and have fun. If you see a cheater/booster/hacker... report and avoid them. The fault lies with those who do it. There are way more of us out here than there are working for Treyarch, so justice is always going to take longer than we would like it to (See the legal system).

      Prove it to you? Lol  Just look at the leaderboards, the majority of the top 500 have the glitch, and i didnt look any higher than that. As far as the reporting goes, how many people do you actually know that have the glitch that have been reset. I don't know of one. It's something that instills a false sense of security to the honest players so it cuts down on the amount of hate mail being sent to them. They aren't willing to do anything about it because their sales would suffer so they let these kids do whatever they want. Think about it, all they have to do is bring up the leaderboards and ban or reset everyone they see, so why aren't they doing it?

        Where is your proof that they did the prestige master glitch, I think is what he's asking? 4 minutes of game time means he's hacking.

         

        Incase you didn't know, the prestige glitch basically gives someone your account under a different name. You get ALL their stats (kdr, wlr, spm, weapon stats, game time, scorestreak stats, custom classes, camos, ALL OF IT) so the only proof is if you manage to get two people's accounts and have cold hard proff that they're accounts are EXACTLY THE SAME!

         

        Now, I'm going to say this on about the 5th comment I've replied of yours in the last hour:

        You are an IDIOT who thinks everything should go his way, and if it doesn't, then someone's either cheating, hacking, or the game sucks.

    From what I have seen, they have banned and reset almost every single prestige glitcher. The modded leaderboards is another thing, and they do their best to handle it. They reset, ban, and clear the modders on the leaderboards all the time. My main concern are the boosters that they aren't taking care of.

      what do you mean by "boosters" ? I know in bo1 on PC you could just join an empty Demo server and let your friend be on other team and just plant/defuse bomb over and over again. but how can you boost in bo2?

      If that's so, why do I know of 50 people right now that have it and have not been reset and why do I see a quarter of all the people in the lobbies that I play in that have it. All I'm saying is that they should take a small portion of the billions of dollars they make every time they produce a new game and get these guys banned. The fact is, and this is my point, if these kids will exploit this glitch then they will do everything else that is available (hacking, etc). If activision wants to know who's hacking or glitching, its very easy, all they have to do is look at the leaderboards and reset or ban every person with suspicious ranking or score. If they permanently banned people for just ONE offense then this would stop, but they won't because that would cause a decline in sales, which is they seem to care about.

    I see at least one person in almost every lobby that has done the glitch.  Look at their medals.  The Unstoppable medals are almost all the same. 5204 Unstoppable medals.. kinda funny how they all havethe same amount of high kill medals...

      What I've noticed is their score is always between 32,000 and 37,000. As far as what I've heard they've copied someone else's rank and score and use it for theirs. The best way to tell is to check the lobby leaderboard (which is normally correct) and then check their stats overall (which is always ridiculously higher). I've heard that several of these kids are selling them at school for like $20. What a joke.

        Why can't these kids just play the game and not exploit every little thing they find? If they are not willing to put the time into the game to fully prestige then don't play the game. I have an idea, they should get their Wii out and play that. If parents were responsible and not buy a mature game for their kids it would be a lot better for everyone.

    I just read muskyman123 post, I've seen that and would have to say again....Hey Treyarch and Activision how long are you going to let this guy play online before you ban him? I've got an idea, ONE OFFENSE AND YOU'RE BANNED.

    They won't do anything because Activision is making money off them.  Look Activision does NOT give two sh1ts about any of you.  They would shoot you in the back if it ment they could make money from it.

    I believe and have said all my life that Anything man can make .. man can break.  For every securtiy lock code and coutnermeasure you can come up with someone out there will find or make a key for it.  We all have a certain amount of trust and respect for each other and humankind in general.  We all expect each other to 'do the right thing' and not be a cheater.  All we want is a fair game. All anyone asks for in this community is a fair chance to compete.  Either pro or not.  I have seen so many cheaters that it gets sooo ridiculous.  We as a people who play in this gaming community must police and protect our own.  When the 'powers that be' choose to recognize the cheaters and then choose to do nothing about it.  That sends a message to the ENTIRE gaming communtiy that A. you dont care or B. you are too inept to do anything about it.  So which is it you are heartless or stupid?  We know that you are not iginorant or non- intelligent else you wouldnt be able to read this message.  Please PLEASE do what you can to stop the cheating.  We all know that its not an easy task and that it is time consuming and expensive.  All we ask is that you let us know you are doing something about it.

      Like I said, if they cared about the quality of their game they would BAN these guys after just one major offense. (Hacking, glitching, etc) Unfortunately, all they care about is MONEY. Btw, Treyarch is at fault, but activision is much more to blame, MW3 was the beginning of this crap and now it's worse, but don't worry, once they lose half of their fan base they'll change it.

        Activision won't change jack. They'll just drop the franchise; it'll go the way of Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero.

        I really don't think Treyarch is to blame AT ALL. I believe that whatever contract Activision put them, AND Infinity Ward under previously, has them by the balls and over a barrel.

         

        I wouldn't be surprised if they REFUSED to let Treyarch fix the game. Case in point: Quickscoping. Why would David Vonderhaar, a man who absouletly ABHORRED quick scoping in the first Black Ops, suddenly support it openly?

         

        My guess: Activision's big wigs came down and forced them to appeal to the whiny minority. They're nothing but corporate slime balls. I bet this game could be ten times better if it were a publisher other than Activision, or EA.

         

        For the record, Microsoft doesn't help either. They charge $50,000 for each title update/hotfix for a title AFTER the first patch. This is why Team Fortress 2 (on 360) is soo far behind its PC counterpart.

          I blame both of them. Activision is a joke, but treyarch is the one designing the game, grow some balls and stand up for the game and what you want it to be.  Activision wouldn't have the game if treyarch didn't develop it. In the end, All these guys are the same, all they care about is money.

            The ones that really make me mad are the ones that use aim-bots or other aim cheats. You can tell they are using them even though they do not show up in the kill-cam replays by the way the person is aiming one direction, then sudden they change posistions just in time to shoot you coming from around the corner a distance away and then the player goes back to his original posistion.

             

            Then they have something like 30 kills and maybe 3 or 5 deaths every single time and act like they are not doing anything wrong when you confront them, those people really piss me off.

              That's the point of my other post about glitchers, most of the ones that glitch are the ones that will hack if they have the opportunity. What ever happened to just playing the game and having fun. If you suck so bad that you have to cheat then maybe you just suck at video games in general and should move on to something else. Its simple, If you have to cheat then just don't play.

              Me too, they just need to play the game. If they suck at it then maybe they should play something else instead of cheating. The biggest problem is the parents that buy a mature 18+ game for a 6-10 year old. These kids are the ones that go to school and their buddy tells them how to cheat, I heard that kids were charging $20 to prestige hack players.  I would never let my young kids play this game, especially online. Start being responsible parents!
