Modern Warfare 2 vs Black Ops 2

Posted by FunnySpaceBear on Feb 12, 2013 3:29 PM

Dear Community,

I have recently purchased Modern Warfare 2 for my XBOX, after once owning it on the PS3.  I love it, the graphics on the XBOX are much crisper.  Anyway, that is not the reason I am writing in this forum.  Leaving the hit detection issues, in Black Ops 2, to one side for the moment, I have noticed that the pace at which I run within MW2 appears to me (this is obviously subjective) to be faster than the rate that I run within Black Ops 2.  I have yet to decide which I prefer the most; however, I just wondered whether this difference in run speed is something that I have imagined, or is present between the two games.

PS. I thoroughly enjoy both games.

Best regards,

FunnySpaceBear.

I like the maps better in MW2, but like everything else in Black ops 2.

As far as run speed they seem pretty close,  I do think Black ops 2 has a faster game pace but that is because of the way the maps are. I don't know it could all be in my head..

All the games seem to have a different "running speed" as well as animation speed to me.

That's one of the few things I dislike about Black Ops 2 is how sluggish a lot of things seem to be. It's more of annoyance than anything. Other than that I would take absolutely everything above anything MW2 related. There was so many issues with that game it's hilarious.

On the positive side I enjoy both games very much. On the negative side, I feel both these games were the downfall of the developer. MW2 introduced camping for massive killstreaks, pro perks, knife classes with lunge, the nuke (moab), and a huge immature audience. In my opinion with much scrutiny, I think BO2 is Treyarchs MW2 with a major technical problem called "lag compensation". But don't get me wrong, I still think they are great games and would recommend them without hesitation.

MW2 was a little rough, but had some awesome gunplay.   The guns felt good and the networking never gave cause to rage.

I would take good networking over any other feature bar none, because that is the foundation.
