Anyone else notice the Black Hat has stopped working?

I just went online to upload the patch and try it out. The first 2 games was on Yemen. Taking out spyplanes with the blackhat in both those games worked just fine. Then the next game was in Cargo, I go to take out a spy plane and as I pull out the blackhat, it flickers a few times and switches back to my gun. Other times, if you hold the button for the blackhat, all you see is yours hands in front of you flickering like crazy. So I leave the game and try another lobby. I go into Slums and the same thing happens again. I also notice when running it looks like i'm trying to switch weapons, or about to climb over something, it kind of twitches. All I udjusted before playing was my scope sensitivity, I adjusted it back during the last game but nothing changed.

Has this happened to you?

 

Edit; Having come out of the game and starting again it worked again. But i'll let you know if it happens again.

    I've used it today w/o any problem but I've never tried to hack a spyplane. Is one enough?

      As I die often 1 is usually enough for me

       

      But yeah, the problem I had does seem to be a 1 off. Its not done it since. So here's hoping

          I've had some good games today, but to be honest, i've noticed no change in the wiimote, the lag is still the same with one person still dominating the game, so for me, no change..

        I have the same problem except every animation (running, throwing equiptment, ect) loops and makes the game unplayable. It does it in every match, how did you fix it?

          Just by turning the game off, and the console too and restarting. So far so good.

    I just had a game where it was flickering like nuts when placing a Clay and try to Hack. It was possible to place the Clay but not Hack.

      I cured my problem by switching off the game, then turning it back on again. So far so good. But thanks for trying it out and commenting. At least its not just me.

        Fixed the problem again by switching off the console and turning it back on. Its a pain in the backside to have to keep doing this!!

          yep doing it for me too, placing a bettie shows the hand tossing 3 times!! and the gun in ads keeping dropping and the running wooh

           

          come on treyarch get on the case! at least take this patch off as you try and fix it! there is nothing else I can see that is any different at present in the game?

            Now the problem has come back again and turning off the console isn't fixing it. But in some games it does work. It seems when I get 2 bars the issue comes back. Well done treyarch, good testing.

                I would guess (blah I'm doing it again) yes.  Two bar connection?  Probably two bars because the host was out of your region which is what causes the animation bugs.

                  Thing is, with the other animation glitches, say placing a betty, your betty still works. The blackhat doesn't. Its something quite different.

                    Oi Oi.

                     

                    Yep, I got the same flickering lag with grenades and betties since the update.

                    So I'm going back to the corner to have a snooze in my camper!

                     

                    Texting is broken.

                    Friends lists are broken.

                    Etc.

                    Etc.

                     

                     

                    The good news is the home button works, so I can rage quit even quicker now...

                     

                    There was me thinking they wouldn't screw us over for a fifth time in a row! Doh!!

                      Apparently its a regional thing, it only happens when you connect with people from certain regions. Out of all my games last night I had 2 good games. As soon as we backed out to form a full team, it all went to #h!t again. I can't keep playing like this. Want to play MW3 over the weekend? There's a good chance i'll be playing tonight.

                          Haahaahaaaa! And apparently wants to keep me up all night too. Its still not a definate, will have to wait and see..

                                this is must be part of the glitch......For Europeans, the wiimote is doing crazy funk dances but for me, it works perfectly.

                                  The wiimote settings in MW3 are perfect. Even since the xmas eve patch, I can't get anywhere near them. There's no comparison.

    A few of my friends hypothesise that this happens (as well as the bug throwing tactical nades and regular grenades) when people from different regions play each other.

     

     

    There is no scientific evidence to back this up, apart from a few random tests. but that is beleived to be the problem.

          Look @ the sticky, A_trey_u just confirmed the patch for the patch comes out sometime today/tonight. Double weapon xp weekend has been delayed.

            I haven't seen this many patches since the '2006 Annual Pirate Convention'!

             

             

            Imagine if movies and music were like this...

             

            The film directors and musicians just send out half baked rubbish hoping nobody will notice.

            Then a few months later say ' hey, we're sending you a file with some drums on because it makes the song better'!

             

            No, they don't. They work hard until its finished. And give the public a decent final product...

             

            I know it's only a game, but consumers deserve a product that works

            Man I'm a grumpy old git!

                Ok, looking back its a pretty crap analogy.

                Guess I just meant classic films and songs, not the 99% of gubbins that is released.

                It made sense in my head, and that is what counts! Haha.
