It seems odd to me that so many would buy the new DLC considering the forum is so full of threads on how messed up BO2 is and needs to be fixed.  So why would you give them more money?  And now the forum is full of threads about how messed up the new DLC is....

I didn't buy my Season Pass till after the Revolution announcement trailer.  I like BO2 and think its a great game, it has some issues, what game doesnt? I think the fact of the matter is that people just like to complain.  If you go on McDonalds Forums you will probably see how $1 any size drinks is stupid because there isnt a need for any other size, or that the Big Mac Sause is too salty or some dumb crap like that.  No matter how good something is people will find fault with it.

The forums will always be full of complaining threads because people that are happy with the product are generally spending their time playing the game and don't feel a need to post.  I don't get to experience the DLC for myself for another month but from what I've seen of the new maps through others gameplay, I'm looking forward to it's release.  Particularly knowing that whatever problems there are with the DLC today most likely be resolved by the time that I get it.

This forum makes of a very very very small percentage of the community.

Because the vocal, uniformed, and angry minority will always outweigh the happy majority that are too busy playing to come here and debate the game.

People will always find fault in everything. No one likes to dwell on the good things, nor do they give constructive criticism. Personally, I'm looking forward to the dlc.

    Well there are two things:

One the size of those who actively participate in the forums is small compared to the actual game play.

Second people would rather buy than to think through what it means to purchase a thing, i.e they are easily sold through marketing tactics.

The userbase size of the forum yes.  I believe more so then being trapped by marketing tactics.  More like 99% of the userbase could care less about this forum and doesn't eat, sleep, breathe COD.

Oh, and the "Woah this is amazing stuff let me run to the forums and talk about how amazing this is" crowd vs the "This sucks I'm going to go blast them on the forums" mindset is a ratio heavily, HEAVILY skewed towards the negative side.

Yet you post on the very same forums you're ragging on.

I'm one of those who had zero lag issues during the first week so I bought the Season Pass. After doing so, a few days later the lag became unbearable and annoying. I attempted to play the new maps today but the lag took over and I quit after 3 attempts: 1 as host and 2 as a P2P player.

GO figure, lag in every game even as host. I wish I was like the rest of you that had no lag issues. My connection is too good for this crap.

People tend to complain more than praise, and thats with anything or any type of service.  The game is by no means without its faults, but really its the same it has been with any other COD game...lag, bad spawns, bad maps, etc. boo hoo.  I like the game, its better than MW3(although I miss the Strike Packages especially Specialist).  And this is a very small % of people playing the game, its in no way any representation of the majority of people who own/play the game.

My only complaint is the playlists, maps seem to play really well and the peacekeeper is solid.

Forums are always misleading. People come on here to complain and vent frustrations with the game. People who are unhappy are always more likely to express their opinion, its a fact of customer service. Its rare in a customer service industry to get happy calls.

On here, its just as rare to get positive threads. People with issues are going to make their voices heard. It makes it sound like everyone is having problems, when in reality its the percentage of players who come onto the Forums to complain. Its not really a representative portion of the entire community. In fact, several people create accounts simply because they are having issues and want to vent.

Fact of the matter is, most people don't come on here. They play and enjoy it and don't bother to come on here.

Take what you read on here with a grain of salt. There are active and real complaints to be sure, but in some cases its just the user's viewpoint or opinion. Also, notice for every complaint there are people who counter that same complaint.

This is the most idiotic thing I've ever seen, that's some great deductive reasoning, they don't complain on the forums so they must be having a BANG UP, PROBLEM FREE EXPERIENCE. If you think that you REALLY need prayer. You and every other clown that makes these kinds of statements OBVIOUSLY have some vested interest in the company.

I'd like to think that the people that come here believe in some way they are shaping the future of the COD series with positive and negative feedback. Whether thats true is debatable.  Its easy to write everyone off as just a complainer. I believe that these are people that have come to love this series, and are extremely passionate about its problems and future.   The rest that dont come here have no right to complain.

Why are you surprised because a few hundred or even a few thousand come on here and complain. There are a million people that just play this game for fun and don't have over exagerated views of their ability. They along with myself just play for entertainment and more maps add to the entertainment. There is lag in all online games and always will be. If the lobby is bad switch lobbies. Some lobbies aren't as bad as others. Or play against the bots. Or play combat training half human and half bots. Anyone can do well in that whether they are lagging or not.

I bought the season pass. Haven't played this game in at least a month if I had to estimate.

Looking forward to Die Rise and i'll prob play some MP too since my friends will be back on playing for a few days this week. Some people love this game and don't care how broken it is/isn't.

After playing farcry 3 for a couple of nights, it's comforting to know that BO2 isn't the only game that's broken.

I didn't buy the new DLC. I refuse to give into the hype.

All the money they spent marketing and advertising there DLC content they could have put some serious fixes into the game but they won't, and i dont blame them. They have hundreds of thousands of players who will just dish out there money no questions asked hence why the CoD franchise hasn't died and wont die for a very long time.

The game is littered with problems, why give them more money for more half assed overly-hyped up maps?

Because most people here don't have an issue with the game, and if they do they don't come on here and complain about it causing an abundance of threads.

It is part of the nature of most game forums.

People for whom the game works and who enjoy the game, are spending their time playing and having fun with the game.

People who don't like the game or can't get the game to work, are spending their time in the forums reporting their problems and complaining about how they don't like the game.

As far as paying for any DLC for any game, no matter how much they charge, some people will complain it is too much. Even if they release a free DLC, there will be people who complain that they need to release an update that adds content to enhance the game and make it more "fresh" even if they have to pay for it.

Players have legitimate complaints, lag for example, it makes the time I spend playing this game frustrating and unenjoyable. I, along with others, have tried to get the problem addressed but it seems most threads turn into a network engineering debacle and I have yet to hear an acknowledgement from Treyarch that a problem even exists, which is even more frustrating.

The fact that the dlc is $15.00 is irrelevant to me,  I can spare $15.00, I just choose not to purchase it. I can't justify to myself spending more money on a game I'm playing less and less of because of the multiplayer stability.

The large majority of people who buy it, probably don't even frequent here...

This place is only a small pond.
