WTF! My black ops 2 Progresion and rank reset!!! back to level 1

I was prestige 2 with 4 gold smg's i had awesome callsigns that i worked hard to get and had a good kdr. and now when i got into bops2 all my **** was reset except for my HIPO emblem and 500 kills with deadsilence call sign! Why and how?! how can i get this fixed im so angry. and no i do NOT cheat boost or hacked i have never and i will never.

    Guys. it really isnt hard to get gold. i always aim for the head. and my main objective was to get Diamond Camo as fast as i could!! i cant belive you think im cheating!

      It has just happened to me.

       

      Prestige 8 just and it has just gone back to level 1.

       

      MY KD is under 1 as I like to use knives, combat axe, shield etc and I had over 8 days game play and 34,000 kills.

       

      Never hacked, cheated, boosted etc.

       

      The game just reset my stats but let me keep my combat record cards which now say 'combat  axe level 1' for instance,which is impossible as you can only get the calling card on level 5.

       

      All other combat cards have been lost.

       

       

      WTF !

    Was it the going into the local lobby thing? I would be furious! Im also done prestiging after this game, too much wasted time for an emblem.

    SameThing just happened to me... had gold DSR and was right about to get Gold FHJ and SVU Prestige 2 level 17 with emblems ... What i did was go on local to play with my sister on the combat training type system for local. After we play for a hour or so I decided to go online and i get in and im Level 1 No prestige. I was like Huh...Maybe my hard drive didnt load properly so i go to the dashboard and i go back in... Still level 1... My suggestion is call Treyarch and get this sorted out cause i am just down right pissed...

    was at level 38 prestige 6 and my internet went, when i got back on was at level 1 with everything reset my on the leaderbords it still said 6th prestige level 38,  not good aye, hopfully they read fb aha

    Well it looks like no one has answered this yet so I will. This is a known occurence in the game. If you play a local game then there is a chance that your stats will reset. From the sounds of the original post this is what probably happened. PM Cutpurse here on the forums and he can help you. Not overnight due to the loads of PM's he is probably getting. If you have any further questions go to the support section of the forums, you will find all of your answers inside of the MANY threads just like this one.

    yeah. ive had enough with the cod franchise. been playing since cod 1 and the only good cods are 1.2.3.4 and WaW. all the others are just the same crap all over again. and now players progress are getting reset to the start. typical activision and treyarch. not give a $h!t and just want the money. they only thing ive seen change about the game is the front cover they put on the discs.

      You were caught red handed, and you need to accept that and start over.  When you start fresh, be honest and don't cheat.  And don't tell me you never cheated in your life, because that's what EVERY booster says in order to cheat the system and obtain a full stat restoration.

       

      Besides, these were your stats, correct?  Seems very fishy...

          You told us your GT, and I typed it in via Elite.  if you created a "new" account, this one wouldn't be progressing.

           

          Just be careful and don't cheat again.  Perma bans are the result of constant cheating.

            Creating a new account doesn't mean he linked it to elite. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what you have shown to tell him he was caught "red handed" because I haven't heard him confess anything and all I hear from you are assumptions.

             

            Is it impossible to imagine that maybe people get reset by accident? With all the other issues, this one just can't be real right?

              If this person was innocent and was in fact reset due to a glitch, he would inform customer support and they will fix everything.

               

              But I NEVER see this happening.  If it did, it would occur once every blue moon.

        i need to get my level back. i do not even know how to cheat. I am sure i could look it up but i do not play for that reason. I will probably just go to a different game if i can not get my levels back.

        Who do i talk to? you seem educated in this matter.

    Have you been getting disconnected from games frequently? I heard someone else say this happened for this reason.

    If you go back to level 1 from whatever level you were at then you did do something that was a violation.

     

    It could be cheating, boosting , glitching, modding, the Master Prestige Glitch and many other glitches out there.

     

    Only chance you have is to PM Cutpurse, but in these level 1 cases nothing usually happens.

     

    If you got reset to level 1 you know you have had to do something wrong.

     

    I still think there is some kind of 1 on 1 match cheating boosting going on. I mean seriously this "glitch" has been going on for a month and they havent fixed it ?

      the issue with the 3 people who were reset in this thread were reset to level 1, but didn't lose calling cards.. This leads me to believe that actually, there was no cheating as such as a ban and reset by treyarch will make you lose everything, however it could have been to an unknown, or known glitch

       

      I wouldn't be surprised however that perhaps there is something that none of the people reset have let us know... The only things I can think of? Is it possible you could be reset, or lose rank because of constantly going over the XP cap? (if you don't know, the amount of XP you can earn per match is capped to stop boosting)

       

      Other questions (which if you're going to reply with assumptions, then please don't bother unless you have concrete proof) - can you get reset for constant violations of being abusive, insulting or breaking other communications Code of Conduct? Can you get reset for having too many emblems reported/removed due to profanity?

       

      Of course it could be a problem with treyarchs servers, so as starbuck says, contact the person he mentions and take it from there.

        YES to both. And the proof is on the forums when people post "why was I banned" threads.

         

        then you consider the Microsoft ban forums as well.

        help, i was reset to level one but kept my calling card. I think i leveled up to prestige 4 and it sucks being level one.

    You think i cheat just because i wont ask customer support!? Fine! Guve me there phone number number, email, adress, HQ, anything and i ask them about this and how to get this solved. And i cant belive some of you are acting so immature. Other communitys are right! The cod communtiy is full of immature selfless d1cks that think they are all that and can do what ever tey want . If i was asking about this on another game countless people would be trying to help me out this.

    I will found out how this happend or why this happend somewhere else.

      Mate same thing happened to me, I'm level 1 again... Do they fix this and how long does it take :/ :( what a waste of life this game is and as for cheating I dunno how to cheat the game is broken! My gamer tag is XplicitInsanity and I also was in local game teaching my gf how to play! :(

    Just jumped on and found both my son and I are level 1 with no combat record.  But, like the others, we have our videos and calling cards in tact.

    I'm just now hearing bits and pieces of a 'local glitch'?  We did in face play 1v1 local earlier.

    Wow...

    Had this happen to me on Saturday night, played system link with a friend and my brother next thing i know my rank is gone.. GT is Twinkletaes.. nothing special I have lost, just a bit pissed that I have lost the time and effort I put in to the game, would be nice to actually get this fixed

      My rnk was reset last night too.. N I can say this if u violate the rules u get temperally suspend for a week well at least that's wat I read on the form.. Now with that said I was not suspended I was able to play a match right after I got the message satin I'm on probation for leavin the room too many times... No previously before that f up message I only left a room not a game to allow someone else to have a turn under their account.. And a week before my f up situation my cuzin got the same message and his rank was also restarted. So tell me wat happened.. I had max out my weapons twice each Perstige guns n level two Perstige so please explain to me?

    If your rank and stats have become corrupted, the Call of Duty servers will restore them using a previously stored backup. This means that your rank and stats may not be exactly where they were before the reset occurred.

    Most of the time, these issues are resolved within 24 hours. This allows time for the game to sync with the servers to restore your lost rank, experience, stats, and/or achievements. Why ranks and stats get reset The known reasons for why this could happen include:
    • Local issue – One guaranteed way to get the rank and stats corruption is through the following method:
      1. Receive a message stating “Cannot Connect to Game Servers”
      2. Go into Local
      3. Once the game reconnects to the servers, it causes the corruption. If this has happened, you can request to have your rank and stats restored by filling out the upcoming form.
    • Data corruption – There are a variety of reasons for data corruption. If you feel your rank and stats were reset as a result of data corruption, you can request to have your rank and stats restored by filling out the upcoming form.
    • Bans – If you have violated the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Security & Enforcement Policy, you may be subject to a temporary or permanent ban from the game, which can include having your rank and stats reset. When this happens, your game data will not be restored.

    Use this form to submit a rank and stats request: Rank and Stat Reset Request Form After submitting the form, we will investigate your request and provide a result via email. This is the quickest way to have your rank and stats restored.

      Get in line dude. I opened up a support case the day after update/revolution. I got a disconnect from servers then hit local by mistake, then back into live to my stats have been reset. My rank, diamond camos, and combat record are all correct. My stats though are a differ story....I have 200,000 kills with the s12, 100,000 kills with the combat axe etc....

       

      It's been 2 weeks with an unresolved status....it's still messed up. I haven't played black ops in 2 weeks and won't until its fixed. I'm not trying to screw them by not playing, which I can't because they already have my money....It's just frustrating and I cannot help but laugh at this point. I love call of duty back until the first one. Bought them every year....I know people complain about every one, but I haven't. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST CALL OF DUTY MADE TO DATE(multiplayer experience).
