What's one thing you need to improve on?

Posted by ghamorra on Jan 26, 2013 6:27 AM

Me personally there are several things I need to do, one I've been struggling most with is playing at a higher sensitivity. Right now I'm on 6 which is a huge step up from 2 which I played on in both Black Ops and MW3. I'm finding that in these cramped ass maps the ability to turn on a dime is needed now more than ever. Constantly I'm running into a room and colliding with the enemy. If I have a higher sensitivity than then I can turn and shoot getting the kill, if they have a higher sensitivity than me I'm almost certainly dead

What can you improve on?

    Miy speling.

Nah, gamewise...everything.  I'm heaps better than I was in prior CoDs, but my aim still needs improving, I still make stupid decisions mid-game, I still tend to tilt when the match isn't going my way, and I'm also struggling while increasing my sensitivity (currently on 7).  Most of all, though, I need to learn to take the game less seriously while playing.

I actually just surprised myself to find out that I'm maintaining a 23% accuracy with the FAL so far (336 kills), and I'm well over 20% on the other burst/semi-auto ARs.  But my most "accurate" full-auto weapon is the M27 at only 18%...part of that is bad aim, part of that is spraying & praying when I do something stupid, and part of it is that I've never had an issue with just laying down suppressive fire when I don't have a clear shot at my target.

My worst is the LSAT at only 10.5%.    But I haven't used it in several prestiges, so obviously I'm much better now...yeah, much better...

I need to improve on hipfiring.  We play mostly hardcore, and I get chewed up in face to face close quarters because I feel the need to raise my gun.  As I do it more often, I'm getting better at it, but there are still people that are WAY more accurate than I am.

I tried out a set of Kontrol Freeks with this title.  They seem to help my aim a little bit, but what I've really noticed is that I can play at a higher sensitivity.  I think in previous titles, I played around a 3 or 4.  I'm playing on 9 with this title right now.  They seem to make the small adjustments a tiny bit easier, for me anyway.

I'm trying to teach myself to hipfire to, for the laser site challenge, its not easy after years of ADsing, i have to keep reminding myself not to ADS...

The Skorpion with ext mags and long barrell  is lethal, just remember the recoil pulls the weapon straight up

If you want to work on your hipfiring/laser sight challenge, I would highly suggest the PDW-57.  That huge magazine is so much more forgiving when you're still trying to get aiming from the hip down, and the damage drop-off at range will convince you pretty quickly to get into a lot of CQC/short-range engagements.

The PDW does'nt seem to like me anymore, i used it when i got the game first then moved on, i went back to it again last week and it just would'nt seem to work for me, i was losing more heads up gunfigts than winning.

The MSMC though seems to be getting the job done really well

I need to improve on my accuracy. Especially with burst guns, I can't hit anything with the B23R from more than 10 feet. I use sensitivity 14, it can take quite a bit of time to get use to, but if your really strugling try playing BF3.

I need to stop playing overly aggressive.

I get a few deaths because halfway through a streak I start thinking that I am the second coming of Jesus and run into the other team's spawn.
I also need to stop thinking that I can take on that guy with the FAL select fire target finder that's headglitching across the map with my silenced PDW, but that's also partly due to my belief that I am the second coming of Jesus.

Lol - Imagining Jesus in his second coming, touting a silenced PDW and bunny hopping around corners!

The main thing I need to do is stop raging. When I rage I start doing things that I wouldn't normally do and it gets me killed.

Playing under pressure I always do better, but playing while raging I always do worse and it seems to carry into other games too lol.

hip firing I'm too used to ads and hipfireing in this game is so easy, I just have to teach myself not to hit L1. Acogs. cause I can't hit **** using them and burst fire weapon I suck at unless its hardcore.

Honestly I would just use select fire on most burst fire guns.
For a while I used the Chicom without select fire because if you have a good trigger finger you can fire really fast, but I just don't think it's worth the effort. It's still an amazing gun with select fire.

The thing I need to improve the most on is learning to survive longer in the middle of the map, I'm the kinda guy that likes to flank using low traffic routes to catch enemies by surprise but due to the spawns this is becoming increasingly difficult to do.

Amazingly bad . Nah I kid but seriously I was disappointed when I saw the patch notes for 1.05 and there was no mention of an improvement to the spawns though I doubt the spawns can get any better due to the size of the maps

I need to learn to slow down. Baddies will be there all match, i dont need to charge into them and try and win the match in the first 30 secs. When i slow down i can do really really well sometimes, i need to remember that

K/D. Mine have been decent in the other games (2.5 on Black Ops 1 etc.), yet it's 0.92. I just run out into the open, get as my kills as possible and die, then maybe go on a streak of deaths. Levels me up fast though (Almost 2nd Prestige in 12-13 hours or so).

My accuracy - those situations where I am aiming just slightly to the side of someone's head and emptying my clip and I know I just need to nudge my aim just slightly but for some reason I don't do it and then I die. It feels like I have sent the signal to my thumb - I had the thought anyway- but it just doesn't do anything!

I guess it is more down to mashing the trigger instead of burst firing.

Patience, they're not just blowing smoke when someone tells you it's a virtue.

If I don't just run out into 4 enemies trying for that amazing kill feed ever time I spawn, I end up playing well.

Yeah, I need to remember that awesome kill feed on Youtube was probably one moment in 4 hours gameplay and that 8 man feeds are not to be picked up in every game completely by your own design, there will be luck involved.
