What Unlocks when you hit Prestige Master

There is lots of speculation out there as to what does, and what does not, happen when you legitimately make Prestige Master.

 

Well, I finally did tonight (played: 20d 1h 43m 1s)

 

- Prestige 10 by the way, only gives you the option to Reset the Account, refunding of tokens isn't there (not sure about adding create-a-class as I had already taken all of those)

 

At Prestige 10 lvl 55, all XP progress bars go away, but you are not advanced at that moment to Prestige Master. You make PM after you have racked up another levels worth of XP, just like you needed to for all of the previous Prestige levels.

 

When you are promoted to Prestige Master, a screen will pop up telling you you made it and then everything that requires a token to unlock becomes unlocked. (Weapons, Secondaries, Perks, Wildcards, and Score Streaks.)

 

You will still need to work on Weapon Prestige, Camo and Attachments.

 

For all you slimeball hackers out there who used a PM glitch to get it... you suck

    That's an informative one. I had similar questions after the "Progress Bars" disappeared at Pres-10 Lvl-55. I read somewhere (on this forum) - that you just have to continue playing - and it helped. After a few more games (may be 4 or 5 - or more - don't remember) - the message popped up. And I was done earning XPs !!

    Plus since you unlock all the guns anything you do will affect them. So the fun way to rank up guns and dont want to put effort is gun game and sharpshooter.

      I stopped at a bunch of the 55's along the way to finish prestige on guns that I didn't want to perm. I am sure it took me longer than many could do it in, but for me it's the journey.. not the destination with most games.

    I am amazed that there are people who have put in that much time on this game already. It has been out 2 months, which means you've spent 8 hours a day playing on average. Which means, from what I am seeing, that you wake up, get ready for the day, go to work, come home, eat and then play the rest of the evening and night, and then go to sleep; and when you're off work, you play all day, so life dude. Still congrats on hitting Prestige Master, but holy crap dude, get a life.

      be fair... how do you know he is not:

       

      - between jobs

      - on disability

      - living the good life with a spouse that brings in the moolah (oh I only wish)

        You left out "a student on winter break," which is the case for me currently, and has allowed me to put in tons of hours.

        @rlbl  Valid possibilities indeed!

         

        I own my own company (which runs itself), and am an empty nester, as all my kids are grown and married. My wife and I both make a good income... so, let's just say I prefer gaming and watching football more than going to a golf course, where many of my colleagues seem to semi-live.

         

        With the current state of issues I have with the game however, I do not see myself delving into the DLC content so my time with this title is likely almost at an end. (e.g. hacks/glitches, lag-switchers and no dedicated servers, etc..) I am pretty OCD about "fairness" and "earning" what you get. It shouldn't be surprising then that for me, the laundry list of issues here does stick in my craw...

         

        So, "life" is just fine for me and definitely something I don't need to get. But we digress, this thread is just here to inform those who wonder, as I did, how it will all work out in the end.

      It's just so easy to make assumptions & pass judgements on others.

      Do you know for a fact that the OP doesn't have a life? What makes you think *your definition* of life is correct and every other one out there is wrong?

      .

      For some *life* would be going out to a bar every night & going to Vegas every week-end. For others, *life* would be doing the Namaz 5 times a day or going to Sunday-school.

      .

      For a majority of the people living near where I was born & raised : (a ghetto) in Kasimedu, Chennai, INDIA - *life* would be toiling in the sun all day earning less than a 2-dollars for their entire work-day & spend 90% of what they earned at the local liquor shop and go home to beat their wife & kids. That's *life* for them.

      Here's an opinion for you: Before you go around making judgements on others - why don't you stop for a moment & think about what you're saying.

      I hope you live a full life as per your own definition of how life should be lived. I know I am - so does my wife.

    I wasn't going to go forward to Prestige Master due to all the hackers (I figured stopping at 8 or 9 would prove you're legit), but knowing that it will let you unlock everything has changed my mind. Without doing that I would have unlocked all guns, perks, wildcards and as much equipment (excluding the tac insert, I don't use that ever) as I can plus the Hunter Killer and Guardian scorestreaks - let the rest of the scorestreaks remain locked as I don't use them.
