The Season Pass is not available for all profiles

Posted by enraged-gamer on Jan 16, 2013 7:37 PM

Before downloading the season pass on my silver account, (which i have always used to download), microsoft claimed that the downloaded item would be available for all users on that xbox. Well after discovering that I could not access the blackops store with my silver account. I tried with my gold account. And it said that I had not purchased the season pass... This is a bug that treyarch needs to address please.

Pretty sure it's account specific. Don't quote me on that.

      its not account specific..

to OP, just find or use the 2 day trial from your Bo2, or tell a friend to give you his BO2's 2 day or Halo's 14 day trials..

c'mon, people arent that bad online, im sure you'll find someone who can give you a 2 day trial code, so you can enter and download revolution

The download is account specific. The ability to play the DLC will be available on all accounts on the xbox once it is downloaded from the account you ordered it on.

    This isnt a TreyArch issue.

Microsoft runs the Xbox Live Marketplace.

I have contacted microsoft support and they claim that it is not their problem, it is treyarch's.

Good luck trying to track it down.

I can tell you that MIcrosoft runs the Xbox Live Marketplace and Microsoft is in control of what you buy from them.

Try to move further up the line or look on Xbox dot coms site.

Um ... you bought the season pass thinking someone that does not have an XBL account would be able to use it?

"Season Pass" is something for online users. Yes, you can access the offline content (including map packs) for private, offline use.

But if you bought a "season pass" thinking someone without an active XBL account could use it for online activity ... I'm going to be nice and not say what I really think of that move.

BTW, you do realize that the cost of an XBL Silver account is $0.00 ... or in London, you would have to pay 0.00 pounds. In China, the cost of an XBL Silver account is 0.00 yuan and in Australia, it is $0.00AUD

    You get my drift?

You don't get access to ALL games, you  get access to the FREE games provided by Microsoft.

After checking in with someone at Microsoft here is the issue.

If you bought the Season Pass with a Silver account then none of the Gold accounts can play with those maps. Its kind of like saying online mode is locked for those players.

Someone with a GOLD account would have to buy it for all players to use it.

You MIGHT be able to get a 48 hour access code or get a 3 month code to unlock the online portion but thats no guarantee.

I have used a 2 day gold trial on my silver acount, and i can download the content from the season pass. So i guess I'm going to have to gather up a few gold trials to download each new DLC that comes out : /

12 month XBL Gold is at Amazon for $35... might wanna pony up the duckets.

Your best bet is to get on the phone with MS and talk really, really, really really, really nice to them ... and explain to them that you made the purchase on the wrong account. The MIGHT be able to help you.

A while back, I wanted to get my credit card off of XBL. Well, there's a certain way you have to do it and I did not do it that way. The net result was that I played "for free" for one month.

    Erm, no, I didn't.

When I finally got locked out of XBL because they couldn't use the particular card anymore (I had closed the account to make sure it would not auto renew), I thought that then I could go put in the prepaid XBL points card.

    Nope.

Long story short, I called them, talked really, really nice; explained what had happened ... and they back dated my membership one month and gave me the complimentary one month subscription ... which ran out immediately. This, though, allowed me to put in the new information and the day was saved! Yaaaayy!!!

The moral of the story is that you should call MS and try to get them to switch the season pass purchase to your gold account. They MIGHT actually help you.

Yes I don't know if I'm speeking to the riight people. Because the microsoft support told me that they can only see the purchase history and are not able to remove, move, or copy any downloadable content. But maybe I'll try again and be reeeally nice and try to get some  xbox live from them xD

You need to talk to BILLING.

Help my slow, tired, frustrated mind understand something...

A Silver (non-paid) account can play BO2 Multiplayer as well as play on DLC that a Gold account (paid, obviously) purchased and downloaded, if on the same console??

No. A Silver XBL account can NOT play the ONLINE multiplayer portion of COD games.

The portion of the DLC that is available offline to a Gold member can be played by anyone on the specific console, but only the active Gold members can acces the ONLINE multiplayer portion of the DLC.
