"unknown" players????

Can anyone share some insight on what the **** an unknown player is? I have an application to my clan from "unknown". This has aslo happened with a psn name tag, pulled up this person, and it showed up as unknown, with stats and all. What is this? Hackers, bugs.......wth? Thanks

  i've been getting the same problem but there name comes up on the elite list in game so you can guess who they are, i think its just elite playing up

    Gotcha, I did accept one, and I noticed the name in game. They only stayed in the clan for a few days.....thanks for yor you help cdog.
