Website not working at all?

Hey, i'm only new to this site as i wanted to join a clan for MW3 on PS3. When i click on clan HQ or my HQ it doesn't load and just redirects me back to CODelite news page. Nothing will work basically except the forums. Any solutions?

    After trying all are troubleshooting steps you're still having issues?

     

    Additional steps would be clearing your cache and cookies or trying a incognito window.

     

    This issue is occurring for many users and we are working on a permanent fix. Rest assured this will be taken care of in a timely manner.

      The same is happening for me,

      how do i get past the news section?

      I am using google chrome, i have tried incognito, ihave also tried IE, nothing is working and my profile says it is 100% complete, when i click enter elite it just sends me to call of duty news and the same happens for everything else i click on in the browse and explore drop down bars, the only thing that doesn't take me to news is when i click on profile in the account drop down bar.

      please fix this!!

    Same is happening to my friend. all browsers have the same result....everything you click redirects back to the news page on the website...and the elite on xbox wont go past the title screen. It gives an error and starts over. And everytime I try to find him (L3ii7)  on elite...from my account....it gives me an error. I can invite anyone else to my clan...but when I try to invite him it tells me xbox had a problem connecting and freezes...i have to go to the dashboard to get out of the app at that point. Seems like new members just can't do ANYTHING....I personally have had zero problems with the website and app. People who signed up during the maintenence seem to be having the problem.  They can't connect to anything...and we can't connect to them.

     

    Stop acting like there is something WE can do to fix this like switching browsers when its obviously not working. Giving the same advice to people when it clearly isn't doing anything is bullcrap. Your automated responces and terrible customer service people aren't helping this community stay up. If you guys actually gave a crap about a quality serivce..instead of just taking our money...that would be great. Start actually doing something about it or you will be overrun by someone who does it better. I love COD and would love to see this actually work. But Elite is one of many reason that alot of my friends have left COD for BF3 and will never come back. I tried to make the description of this problem and accurate and helpful as possible. I hope you guys can get it fixed.....if I get an automated responce I just might cancel my accounts though. Its getting old.

      Way to put AV on blast! I love the MW series and I even went the extra mile to purchase Elite. But when multiple people are having the same problems? It's really frustrating. Like seriously, my brother has the EXACT problem your friend has. I can invite anyone else to my clan but him. But going back to the problem...When MW3 came out with a patch, it messed up my sister's Xbox so much that she had to send it in and pay like $100. <.< And after we did some research, she wasn't the only ones. The Xbox Live forums were clustered with angry people with Xboxes that no longer read dics after dowloading the MW3 update. <.< Like seriously?

      Whenever you see the caret with initials it means its a human person doing real troubleshooting. We ask the same questions to eliminate all variables that could cause this error. Because we do not give up when step 1 doesn't work and just go to step 7, is because everyone is different.

    So what steps are being implemented to resolve this issue?? Clearly its a problem that won't just be ignored by the community get one of your techs to take an hour of their time to fix this issue before you lose followers

    I have been having th same issue for 3 weeks now. Face it guys, it's the almost the end of COD. If you haven't noticed, over 3/4 of COD games have been taken over by unauthorized individuals. I want to make a clan in ELITE and be with my friends. But Infinity Ward can't fix it. I hope you know Activision is just a publisher and they cannot work fast enough as they have other games to tend to. I am sorry to the people who actually payed $60 or more for Premium ELITE service Founder Status. If they cannot fix it in another week, then we will have to forget it. Trust me I know how frustrating it is. It sucks. Activision, this problem has been going on for almost a month. If you can't fix this, at least give us 20th Prestige Level 80 or some other Compensation for what we a the COD Community have been through. You owe us for making you as rich as we have.

    The App on the Console won't even work. I ise it on Xbox 360. My gamertag is FaZe Promethean. I know alot of people are suffuring from this. Now Activision, do something.

    I constantly have issues with Elite not working in one way or another, currently for the past few days, I'm unable to see any clan summary or roster on the internet version. I payed for premium and certainly won't be renewing premium for BLOPs2 unless they actually provide a service that does what it says and I know so many people who haven't payed for premium simply because its been such a poor service since day 1. Elite has so much potential and could be the best add on to any game....such a shame

     

    Surely its good business to provide a good service then people will keep coming back, provide a bad service and they won't renew....business basics

    How hard can it be to make links on a site work.. Like when you click My HQ, you go to My HQ and not that damn new page over and over again =/

        hi I would like to get help on something, I created a clan earlier this week and it always said whenever i was on the news page, I wasn't in a clan, then when I go to clan HQ it appears, however now I just can't go to clan HQ and my clan doesn't seem to be there, also when I made my clan, it never mentioned anything on 500 exp like people say there is...

    I was happy it was fixed and the site didn't redirect me to the news page everytime anymore, but then, i ran into another problem, (with 100000000000000000 other people that have the same problem). After like 1 year of troubles with this we STILL CANT UPLOAD VIDEOS from vault to the vault on the site.. Real nice job from you guys.! But then, once again after all, the site AGAIN redirects me to the first page everytime.. I can't enter it anymore.. For all you people who made this elite application, ffs remove it and let us record for free, OR FCKING IMPROVE IT YOU LAZY PEOPLE

    WHEN THE HECK IS WWW.callofduty.com/theater GOING TO WORK!!!!???? no one will give me any damn answers! why??????i cant access the page at all in any browser! dont ask me all those questions because there not going to fix this... this is on yalls end not mine. can you please tell me whats wrong? and when it SHOULD be fixed? it keeps redirecting me to news. would yall please fix this? or just delete the webpage and the option to go to theater geez.

      That was the website used for uploading videos to Black Ops. The videos have been removed and added to a different section of Elite. To view uploaded videos from Black Ops or MW3 this can be found under PLAYER HOME at the bottom of the page.

       

      Please be aware that since we are making upgrades and doing other types of needed maintenance some services will be limited or not functioning properly. Also because of the effected of Hurricane Sandy in the east of the US our servers have been impacted as well. We are aware of all of these complications and are already on top of it.

       

      There is no time/date for completion but we are working to resolve this ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

    I still get redirected to news page.. i bought bo2 and registered here for elite but whatever i try to do i just get redirected back to news page..

    I am having a similar problem, but it doesn't effect EVERY link. I am not able to access the 'Custom Classes' or 'Join a Clan'. Both simply redirect to the home page.

     

    I registered on the Xbox the 15th, if I recall. However I didn't log into the site until the 17th. Using several different OSes and web browsers yields no improvement.

     

    I've tried:

    Win XP: IE and Firefox

    Win 7: IE and Firefox

    Ubuntu 10.04: Firefox and Chrome

    Android: Firefox and internal browser

     

    All give the same results; I can access most of the site resources (leaderboard, recent matches, challenges, etc), but any link that tries to descend into /ops2/classes/ or /connect/ redirects to the home page.

      I have this exact same problem... Please fix it as i want to join my friends clan..

       

      I also tried to get to the /connect link directly... didnt work on either chrome or ff. Neither did it work in anon mode or with clearing all cookies and cache.

    I have the problem where I get redirected to the  https://elite.callofduty.com/player/home page everytime I try to click join a clan and create custom classes. Is it being updated or something?

     

    EDIT: While trying to post this, I get an error where it says it had a problem posting this post. As I had just read someone that got that error above and has posted 4 consecutive times, I know that I just had to refresh. Maybe the problem is that you do not really recieve data on some parts?

        This is exactly the problem. There is some common factor between our accounts in their database that is preventing us from using the site. Have you tried the Android app? Like I said in my post, I can view/modify classes and was even able to join a clan from it, but the website is still jacked up.

         

        This is a SERVER SIDE issue, not client. I hate to tell these people how to do their job (especially since I get paid to do the exact same thing), but they need to start looking for a common thread between users having issues. Since the Android app works for me, I'm assuming it's something to do with the code on the site. Seriously, it's not rocket surgery. Look at the code for the landing page of elite.callofduty.com/ops2/classes or /connect and just look at the conditions that redirect a user to /player/home and start there! Do you guys need a hand? I'll gladly help!

          Just an update to the problems I'm having.

           

          Like I said above, I was able to join a clan from the Android app. However, when I logged into Elite, it still had the link to 'Join a clan' off the homepage. (And that link still redirects right to home.) On a whim (thinking the problem was with my account) I decided to create a new one and link my Live account to it, hoping that would solve (part of) my problem. Well, I still wasn't able to access custom classes. HOWEVER, it _DID_ show that I was a memeber of a clan and I am able to view the clan page without being redirected. Whats more, I can view OTHER people's custom classes, but I am still unable to access my own. (Oddly enough, if I go to https://elite.callofduty.com/ops2/classes/xbox/tomatogoatee/ I can view my own custom classes, but going to https://elite.callofduty.com/ops2/classes still redirects me to home.)

           

          So here's what I'd like someone else having this problem to try; create a throw-away account and link your Live/PSN account to it. Then log back in with your main account and re-link your Live/PSN account and see if that does anything for you.

           

          Since tech support hasn't responded to this thread since November 4th, I'm wondering if they've decided to ignore the problem and see if it goes away...

            This is ridiculous.  I did similar to you a few days ago (creating a new account) and was able to get 'create a class' to work, but now haveing issues with following people/clans/page redirects.  Can't believe reading this thread and seeing how long this site has had issues, completely unprofessional how it's being handled, and honestly it's embarrassing for all involved in the production and maintainence of this site...they seem to not have a clue on how to resolve these issues....
