Has anyone seen the new Sabertooth controller?

Posted by iivrruummii on Jan 9, 2013 9:41 AM

Basically a Scuf controller but takes modifying/customizing to the extreme.

I wonder if this controller could compete with Scuf and other controller manufactures.

i along with a few others on here had real issues with razors first outing with an xbox controller..the build quality was terribad they broke easily.

this looks alot better but im going to adopt a wait and see how long it takes foxhound to break his before deciding on getting one

also compete with scuff.. a scuff is a stock ms controller with a few screws added thats it

My problem with the aforementioned Razor first release was the damn joystick wouldn't let me sprint in MW3, dropped it in the mail for return 1 hour after opening it.

I promise not to throw it at the wall before I give a review.

I still have a TE Onza that works. It's been dropped, stepped on and subject to a tossing. Still works.

I have TE Onza and had the gel pads tear on the sticks otherwise it was a great controller until my son spilled Koolaid on it.

If you have an Onza you can enter it's serial number and recieve an additionl $10 off this one on their web site.

I'm excited for the controller and looking forward to putting it through it's paces.

thats happened to quite a few people i know, ironically whilst on xbl party chat after saying mine was fine the sprint button (left joystick) broke)  sent it back to amazon who wouldnt replace it as they had at the time pulled them due to so many coming back.

im hoping this new controller is better, i love razor pc products  hopeuflly this next gen one had addressed alot of issues if so i could easily see mysef buying one

I haven't used the scuff but have a fellow gamer that has one with the 2 added buttons he's happy with it. For the price I figured I'd try this on before dropping 120+ on a scuff plus 6 is better than 2

    It's cheaper than the Scuf-Controller, isn't it?

If this is some rapid fire cheater controller I am going to report everyone on here. I can't stand cheaters.

I'm sticking with Scuf. I have four Razer products and my experience with Razer is a hit or miss. I have the Imperator and it works fine while their top of the line, the Ouroboros, is glitchy. Their Nostromo and Orbweaver works great.

That Sabertooth looks great and intriguing but I'll wait for reviews first before I buy another Razer product.

I was thinking of buying the Sabertooth. I went through 2 Onzas. The first (not TE) the gel pad came off the left thumb stick. The second was a Tournament Edition and that left thumb stick deteriorated as well. Oddly, sprinting always worked fine on both.

They did away with the resistence knobs on the Sabertooth so maybe that will ease the wear on the thumbsticks.

I've been using a Scuf since last March and it's still in good condition but I won't live or die by my Scuf. I don't like where there paddles are located. If I had it to do over again I'd buy the wired Scuf so my fingers have more room on the bottom of the controller. I also don't game as hard as I used to so the Scuf has enjoyed an easy life.

If I can use 2 Onza serial numbers on 1 purchase I'll be buying a Sabertooth on Friday. My biggest challenge will be adjusting to the muscle memory.

Just checked the website and the Sabertooth is out of stock. Same thing happened with the Onza 2 years ago.
