Domination trip cap challenge

We have a question from our group we play with. 

 

under BARRACKS, then CHALLENGES, GAME MODES, and finally DOMINATION, The trip cap challenge.  It states "control all 3 objectives (A,B and C) for 3 minutes."

 

Does this mean 3 consecutive minutes or a total of 3 minutes?

    I think it's consecutive minutes - played a game where we definitely were in control of all 3 flags for a combined total of 3 minutes but it didn't unlock as a completed challenge.  I've been playing CoD on Xbox since CoD2 and I've never seen any team be able to control all 3 flags for that sort of time frame. It's a ridiculous challenge really

      Its doable. Tact inserts near flags and go 2a 2b 2c with C4

        you'd have to be up against the worst team of randoms in the history of the world

      It's possible, I remember a game of MW2 back in the day where I was playing ground war with a full 9 player team and we somehow won 200-0

    3 min straight. I did this with only 2 friends. We capped the "B" flag on stand off with 3:01 left and we joked around about it. Sure enough somehow, with 3 random people on our team got it. It was one of my friends first time ever playing domination. Talk about luck, getting a pretty hard challenge the first time ever playing haha.

    On the Elite site it says I've completed this challenge. In the game challenges I have not. Just curious if I do succeed in the "Trip Cap" will it unlock. This isn't the only challenge where the challenges are not in sync, Demolition Master also.

      Verified. I just unlocked it even though Elite said I already had it complete. 3 consecutive minutes.

    I played DOM on Yemen some time back and we controlled the whole game so all but one of the opposition players quit leaving one player against six, to give the guy some credit he stayed and tried his best but we held all 3 flags for nearly 4 minutes and still didn't get the reward.

      Was that a league game that u played when that happened?

       

      Because that happened to me, I was the 1 and was playing against 6.

    I actually puleld it of with 1 friend. We just ran like idiots for the flags with assault shields and trophy systems + smoke grenades. It was a lot of fun to do. We had headsets on and told the whole team to go slayer while we 2 capt all flags

    It's 3 consecutive minutes ie all at once. I did mine on Carrier with a few clan mates. We had a 4 man loose perimeter on the B flag and a man each on A and C.

    Doable, but sucks as it sounds.  We have beat teams like that bad, but man this seems tough here. Can it be done over 2 rounds (unlikely since they most likely would cap the first point at the start of round 2).

    Seems like the easiest way is to have a full team, and have 2 people tac near each flag.

      My cousin lucked out and somehow got into a game where every other player dropped or got kicked.  I was there and got kicked, too.  He was the only person in the game, so he capped all 3 flags and waited.  It only occurred to me later that I should have joined his session to get it for myself.
