The community asked for those things and TA tested the waters with it in WaW. It didn't work. Not only that, but COD's closest competitor already has those things in their game. As a result, you've got people team killing and being stupid as they fight and argue over who is going to control what.

Worse than that, the maps are so huge that players that opt not to fight over jets and helicopters have to spend 75% of the match running on foot to the main battle. If they can get there without being killed by enemy vehicles, then you get to battle it out for all of one minute before having to do it all over again.

No, vehicles are why COD is popular.

Get rid of the lag related issues that plague COD games their first six months of release and you'll make the COD community happiest.

I would not be opposed to a more dynamic battlefield, though, where walls can be blown out, etc. That may mean using fewer kill streaks since most of them currently can wipe out entire buildings, but that would not be a bad thing, either.
