I have been having the same issues. 

I am almost positive it is just a result of the huge surge of players after the new release. 

This is a message to anybody else looking this up.  Don't waste your time trying to fix the issue on your end,  it is definitely on their end.  I have port forwarded ,  called the cable company to increase bandwidth, and so on. 

After talking with friends they are all having the same problems. 

Fix your servers please.  At least address the the issue.  Thanks.
