Anyone else feel the difference in aiming between IW and 3arch?

Posted by physikxx on Nov 25, 2012 11:48 PM

This is the first CoD ive played that was made by 3arch and something feels off.  In all 3 of the Modern Warfare games I was able to aim confidently, not saying perfect, but I felt comfortable.  In this 3arch version I cant get the feel for it.

After jumping back and forth between MW3 and BO2, I feel like theres acceleration in the aiming aspect of the game. (kind of like having mouse acceleration turned on while playing a fps game on a pc).  Im not a 100% sure of this but its what it feels like to me.  The aiming feels sluggish.  Im just curious if anyone else knows anything about this 'difference' or feels the same way as i do.

You may not have your sensitivity turned up high enough.  BO2 has 14 levels where as MW3 only has 10 levels.  The problem is that level 14 in BO2 is equivalent to level 10 in MW3.  So if you are using your old MW3 setting then you actually are turning slower.  Turn your sensitivity up about 2 notches and see if that feels more natural to you.

There's definitely some differences between them. WAW, BO, & BO2 all have a more slower, sluggier feel to them. You get used to it if you don't transition back-and-forth to an IW game.

The MW games feel like a razor slicing through hot butter, and I dare say they have the best controls of any console game ever made...

The 3Arc games, while still good, have something about them that will always feel 'off.'

    Its a very big difference,

I notcied the hit detection is either very late or almost non- existent, In MW3 I had 23% overall accuracy. My ARs/ SMGs were at 20% or better (Sniper Rifles at 60% or better).

Blk Ops II im barely getting 20% accuracy with my ARs. Im at an 8 sensitivity (5 on MW3). IDK why they changed the sensitivity. This game needs a serious update.

I feel like I have never played a CoD game when playing Blk Ops II at times. Im like I should be doing way better than i am... But i have to realize that this game had so many visions compiled into one that something was bound to suffer. I hear campaign and zombies are awesome. Just wish i could say the same about mulitplayer.

Im not an arrogant person by any means, but i should be defeating opponents with little to mild resistance. My MW3 and Blk Ops stats verify that.

But in Blk Ops II, my win % is down by -10 to 13% (64% win % in mw3 and blk ops).

This CoD MP feels like its a handicap in the sense that the gun makes the player instead of it being the other way around.

I see way too many people holding the trigger just spraying.
