Neither of the higher versions came with the season pass.
$80 for Hardened Edition.
$60 for Regular Edition.
If you buy Regular + Season pass you get the only worthwhile features at the price of 110 + tax.
If you buy the Hardened you can numerous features without needing to buy the season pass, but buying it means these features were a waste of $20.
They really should make it only 2400 MS points if you purchased the hardened edition. Which equates to $30 which is $20 off for the specials deals at the current moments.
If you aren't understanding what I mean. The hardened came with Nuketown Zombies, but you could recieve this buy purchasing the season pass. The only feature the Hardened Addition really gives would be the special title and camo that doesn't really look that great.
The prestige is even worse you basically get the hardened edition + small toolbox w/ a helicopter toy in it. So you essentially paid $100 for those items. I'd only recommend it. If you never plan to open it since then it could be worth a lot in a few years, but I'm willing to bet you opened yours.

The pass isn't required to gain DLC, nor will you get DLC earlier than others on your platform.
The season pass is a cheaper way to purchase all the maps. If you're planning to buy them all. They let people get content early on MW3 and I don't believe they mentioned anything against that for Black Ops 2.
