Care package edition is a RIP OFF! NO season pass!

Posted by 440bro on Nov 24, 2012 7:23 PM

When I bought the care package edition ($180) I believed the new maps would be included in the deal! Come to find out only nuketown is included in the deal. What a rip off! So I have to spend another $60 bucks and buy a season pass for a total of $240!! Why isn't the season pass included in the special edition versions like it has been in the previous years? I want my money back, or free map packs!!!!

Don't worry I'm sure the dlc maps will be as horrible as the rest of this game. I feel sorry for you, I only paid 60 dollars and I still feel ripped off from buying this game.

Treyarch or activision never said that the season pass would be included in the hardened or care package editions. You got what you paid for so stop complaining

I looked up both hardened and care package editions, and none of the contents had the season pass in it, so you basically just wasted your money. If you didn't look at the contents correctly, then I feel sorry for you since you spent all that money... Regardless, you got everything that actually came with it I assume, so you didn't get ripped off. Hope that purchase was worth it...

Activision was very clear what you got in the hardened and care package editions,

there was videos, unboxing videos made by treyarch, adverts that showed pcitures of the contents. At no point was there any mention of a season pass.

Sorry Op the fault he doesn't lie with Activision it lies with you .

I'm pretty sure that those with Hardened and Prestige edition will get some sort of discount on the future DLCs. The upcomming DLC with Nuketown Zombies is set to release in December? Hopefully, those who already have it will be allowed to some sort of discount.

Sell the helicopter on Ebay. They're going for $60-90.

It's not a rip off. Activision clearly stated that Hardened and Care Package editions will not come with any DLCs.

Only, MW3's Hardened Edition came with ELITE Premium Memberships. This no longer exists, so they wouldn't give the Season Pass.

The pass isn't required to gain DLC, nor will you get DLC earlier than others on your platform.

All the press materials, etc had no mention of DLC being included.

Neither of the higher versions came with the season pass.

    $80 for Hardened Edition.

    $60 for Regular Edition.

If you buy Regular + Season pass you get the only worthwhile features at the price of 110 + tax.

If you buy the Hardened you can numerous features without needing to buy the season pass, but buying it means these features were a waste of $20.

They really should make it only 2400 MS points if you purchased the hardened edition. Which equates to $30 which is $20 off for the specials deals at the current moments.

If you aren't understanding what I mean. The hardened came with Nuketown Zombies, but you could recieve this buy purchasing the season pass. The only feature the Hardened Addition really gives would be the special title and camo that doesn't really look that great.

The prestige is even worse you basically get the hardened edition + small toolbox w/ a helicopter toy in it. So you essentially paid $100 for those items. I'd only recommend it. If you never plan to open it since then it could be worth a lot in a few years, but I'm willing to bet you opened yours.

The season pass is a cheaper way to purchase all the maps. If you're planning to buy them all. They let people get content early on MW3 and I don't believe they mentioned anything against that for Black Ops 2.

I tag along with you brother. They ripped me of aswell. Previous MW3 hardened edition included elite (is free now) and it included the maps. Now that i paid even more, i got less.

thx and no thx. The extra maps will not be bought by me. I rather spend that money on farcry 3.

Treyarch can blaim thereself for loosing a paying client.

Locking. No one ripped you off. You assumed something, didn't bother to resarch and then found out the hard way.

    Unfortunate? Yes.

    Shady Business? Absolutely Not.

    Always do your research!
