How stupid can people be?

I am so sick and tired of listenng to people complain about "Lag Comp",

 

Because most of them have NO CLUE what they are talking about.

 

Those moments when you are killed around corners with "magic bullets" and the killcam shows you within the enemy's sights--- are NOT due to lag compensation,

 

These moments are due to LAG ITSELF.

 

LAG is present in EVERY ONLINE GAME,

 

The REASON you are KILLED AROUND CORNERS/WALLS is because the enemy is slower to process your movements (DUE TO LAG) and SEES YOUR CHARACTER BEHIND ITS ACTUAL MOVEMENTS.

 

This is NOT LAG COMPENSATION,  This is NOT some SPECIAL FORM OF TREYARCH LAG IMPLEMENT.

 

I think the reason so many people bring this up in Call of Duty is because, generally, Call of Duty has more lag than other games, due to lack of dedicated servers, therefore it is more noticeble.

 

I believe lag comp is actually the dumbing down of the host's connection,

 

BUT EVEN IF IT ISN'T, people really do not understand how lag works.

 

TRY SLOWING DOWN YOUR GAMEPLAY,  TRY TO RESTRAIN FROM SPRINTING AROUND CORNERS,  COMPENSATE FOR THE LAG YOURSELF, and ANTICIPATE IT.

    I'm pretty sure people know what lag is, and the fact that people are complaining about lag 'compensation' is because it IS a joke in this game.

     

    No one complained about COD4/W@W/MW2 - all games have lag compensation including those I just mentioned. The fact is the lag compensation needs tweaking in this game or something because it doesn't play the same as those Call of Duty's used to.

     

    I'm used to getting killed around corners or instakilled or seeing my bullets disappear into someone when I play on a 3 bar or worse, thats why I no longer play on 3 bars or worse - this problem is happening on 4 BAR CONNECTIONS.

      But the thing is, i've been playing COD since Cod4, and i have never noticed a difference in the ways combat carries out

       

      What exactly is wrong with what you call "Lag Compensation"?

       

      It seems you say you are simply getting killed more often.

       

      If this is so, the problem is not  Lag Comp, it's just more general lag.

    You know you don't have to read posts that irritate you...right?  Saying people must be stupid is not correct either, because it is more likely most of us are just not educated on the whole lag topic. If you have been playing since MW, and you have never noticed lag, then maybe that's why you can't understand other's frustration. Lag was present in your games, guaranteed!  I love Ops1, but at times, I noticed I would pwn at times, get pwned other times, but MOST of the time, it seemed pretty even.  When it comes to MW3 and Ops2, there is definatley something inherently wrong that affects almost everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if class action lawsuits aren't in the work because of the issues. How a game playability goes down over the last four years is confusing and unexplainable.

     

    I have said before, it doesn't matter if its lag, lag comp, ping, latency, buffering, connectivity, or whatever someone comes up with to explain the issue with these last two games. It just needs to be fixed. I'm probably going to stay until I reach next prestige and see if they can fix this issue.  If not, I'm just going back Ops1. That's what I did after MW3 came out and I still have fun playing Ops1 even after over two years. At least the maps and gameplay are mostly balanced on that game.

    Um hate to break it to you but before MW2 was last patched it was actual lag that killed people behind walls this is actually different because the simple fact is well if you have 4 bars it's happening to you way more because the lag compensation they are using. See MW2 if you had 4 bars you were fine in MW3 and Black Ops 2 for some odd reason it's quite the opposite so they aren't stupid you probably have a below average or average signal so you aren't affected but there is people believe it or not that actually buy gaming modems and routers so they have an above average connection but for some reason they are seconds behind everyone else that's why everyone is getting mad it's not cause they think they should be ahead of everyone that they are mad it is because they are behind everyone else. So yea learn your facts before you come on these forums trying to out smart everyone cause right now you are only out smarting yourself. Also everyone who is complaining right can agree with me when I say I shouldn't have to be worrying about everyone else's signal I should only have to worry about mine. Another thing this game should about skill not about if you are on the good side of lag compensation that shouldn't be the thing that decides the battle it should be skill that decides the battle.
